Hopefully we are on the same truck

 

So I am amazed how lucky I have been in the order process... Everything from the very beginning has gone super quick and ahead of schedule. The operator support, WW site, getting my 2 week A/S live subsription to the Owner's Lounge has been up to date. It kind of sucks though to see that all of you aren't having the same experience that I am having . I just checked the owner's lounge again and it says my car has already been delivered to my dealer... with an ETA of 12/09/2006 That was this last Saturday! So I just sent an email to my MA to see what's up... My gut feeling is that it's still on a truck! I'll let you know the status. I will still have to wait a few days due to my dealer installed options (Clear Bra, iPod Adapter, JCW Suspension)

 

Well my gut feeling was right! I just talked to my MA and my car is still on the truck! I'm getting way too excited and anxious... I need to chill out a bit. Hopefully next time I post it'll be with photos... good luck to you all with orders. May you get your Babies soon

That's awesome that it is all going well for your MINI and you, i hope that the site is just not up to date on mine. Because it hasn't even got to VDC according to it!!

But yeah, congrats on everything!

i think i'll call my MA and ask if all is well.

 

So i called....MA told me that the TOMBARRA had a big load of cars and i guess some are still waiting to be processed....
I guess i'll have to wait a while more.:impatient :impatient

 

FINALLY!!!! I know, I know. took me long enough! Here's pictures of my beautiful new baby!

 

Mine came off the Pariot yesterday and the OL still shows Enroute. Hope to have mine by early next week!

 

2Miniacs, I'm with you. Off the boat and it takes three days to get to the VDC? There must be a huge parking lot full of mini's to process. My MA told me last week my Sgt Pepper was due at the distribution center on the 14th I'm not sure how he knew that, but they do this all the time. I'm trying to watch a TV program and make this post, but it keeps posting itself, if I turn away! How rude!!! Anyhow, I had to stop looking at MiniUSA and the WW site fifteen times a day! Its driving me nuts! He will get here when he gets here. Now back to the TV Good luck to all!!!

Hello All!

This is my first post in this forum... I've been lurking for about a week and finally came on board to tell you I'm going crrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaazy waiting for my mini! My baby is on the same boat as y'alls (Tombarra)! I was told by the dealer today that it was still scheduled for an early december delivery as in the next few days... but that they didn't have any extra information other than to say that my car was a priority 1 which should put it ahead of the norm. Don't ask me how that happened... I can't even figure out how to attach the various owner's club images to my posts! Anyway... I was told there was a good chance that it will still just show up out of the blue even though it still technically says en route on the mini website. Anyway... wanted to thank you guys for showing me I'm not the only one feeling a tad giddy and impatient.

Welcome, gnomie! I'm an east-coaster with the same production week and I already took delivery, so it should be just a matter of days for everyone on the Tombarra. And BTW, theres a whole signature badge collection in the Mini Talk forum. And you can set your signature by editing your profile, under User CP.

Welcome and congrats! So if you were on the Tombarra you are definately on the westcoast. Where did you buy your car from? Chances are your car is on a truck already. Owner speced cars have priority 1 over dealer speced cars (regular inventory dedicated to no owner, lot cars). Mine is due into Portland, OR today. We'll see what happens.

 

Thanks for the welcome! Yep, I'm on the west coast... I'm purchasing my mini through Concord Mini. So far no updates... although I'm supposed to hear something today. Time will tell.

 

I just posted this info on the mini website...

Mine states en route as well... but... I just talked to the dealer.. and they have confirmed that one of the cars from this ship is on the truck and on the way up to the dealer. Unfortunately, it wasn't mine! :( The car on it's way up was ordered within the same 2-3 day period... so they expect word about mine being on a truck any day now... so I really think it's just a few more days.

YAY!!!!! My OL finally says AT VDC!!!!!!!!!!! With an estimated delivery date of the 17th, i hope it gets here a bit earlier because im off to YOSEMITE on the 18th and would LOVE to drive there. SO EXCITED

 

Good news!
Yesterday I dropped by my dealer to pick up some floor mats for my wifes X3 and I stopped by to see if my car was delivered. Sure enought it was! It was 10 mins. before closing and they have a huge garage where they store all of their inventory, so I didn't get a chance to see it. Plus my MA had the day off so it was two things against me. I'll call my MA today to see if I can come down for a peek and to take some pictures Now the painful wait! I have to get my goodies installed... Clear Bra, Suspension, Wheels, and iPod Adapter.

 

MY MINI IS AT THE DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just woke up, my phone was ringing and i answered and they told me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratz! Please please let me know how it is in Yosemite! I plan on driving my R56 out there at the end of May (and taking in the back way...the highway on the east side) so I can get plenty of twisties in!

 

I had a quiestion regarding picking up.....Do i need anything besides the paper from the bank? Any DMV stuff?

So I called my dealer. I'm going down for pictures later today. Here's my install schedule:
12/15-JCW Suspension and possible iPod adapter
12/18-Clear Bra and Decals
12/19-Wheels (late due to shipping).
So that means I have until next Tuesday
Oh well... it gives me this weekend to clean out my garage!
