No, that's just the schedule for the Tombarra's next few ports. The Minis will unload at Port H on the 6th of December and then the SHIP's next destination is Tacoma.

Try emailing your MA to get an estimated pick-up date. My MA said that I will probably be able to drive my baby home on the 9th of Dec. That's about 7-8 days after arriving at the VDC in Charleston. Yours might me sooner depending on how far they have to transport from the VDC and what dealer accessories you are getting. Your MA will know more about that stuff.
On a different subject, have any of you been considering what computer programmed options you might get. I'm going to ask them to turn on the acoustic low fuel warning, because I tend not to notice that kind of thing! I am also going to have them disable the "Lock again 2 minutes after unlocking" That sounds like I could easily lock myself out- something I've been known to do in the past . Just wondering your take on any of that.

My MA said about 10 days from VDC arrival and then another week after that due to dealer installed options... Clear Bra, Wheels and JCW Suspension. So I'm looking at about Approx. December 16th to see the car and December 23rd for pickup with goodies! Give or take a few days I bet! It's going to be a good Christmas this year

Unless the BMW 335i Emission backup has been fixed, I wouldn't count on the 2 days I wish though

How long do they usually keep the cars at VDC?

You are are correct! Supposedly there is a hold up at VDC related to the BMW 335i not meeting emissions? Time will tell. I'll contact my MA to see if has cleared up yet.

Well I just got an email from MA. He said it has cleared up at the VDC. He's had a few cars that arrived on the 27th already scheduled for trucking (3 days)... so it looks like we'll be getting them earlier than we though (crossing my fingers!!!). Too bad Wagoneers Trucking doesn't have tracking :(

i e-mailed LB MINI regarding an estimated arrival at the dealer, but once again i was replied with a short "your car will be here mid to late december" response....

i don't know but in my opinion you'd think they'd give me a more concrete answer than what they gave me when i first ordered the car. But oh well, it might just be my MA.

Thanks for the info and updates regarding the VDC.

I'm not sure if I'm prod week 43 or 44 and it doesn't really matter at this point. All I know is that my MINI arrived in Hueneme Tuesday, the 28th.

I'm really hoping for it to be ready for pickup by Dec. 8th because I didn't order any dealer installed options, but my MA is guesstimating Dec. 15th. I hope she's wrong because the first month or so of waiting kind of flew by, but now each day, hour, minute and second of waiting seems to be getting longer and longer and longer....

If I have to wait 'til the 15th, I'll cry like a baby.

Where are you located? I'm in Portland, OR. Sounds like you were on the ship my MA was talking about. If that's the case I would think you would get your car soon.

They are just giving you an estimate as they don't have any info until the car lands at port. Then they'll be able to confirm trucking schedule upon release from VDC which is about 2-3 days after port arrival. BMW and Mini both use Wagoneers Trucking. Which the MA can track.

I'm in Denver and my MINI was on the Don Juan, which supposedly arrived in Hueneme.

I hope you're right about delivery.

My MA told me the 15th and I'm was on the Don Juan also. Kind of disappointed as I chided him to get the car by the 8th. He LAUGHED at me and the suggestion. Whats up with that. I guess that he doesn't remember when he got his first one. Now he has had two. Oh well, as long as he puts a big red bow on it for me I will be happy!!!!!!

Hey, a Week 36er here. Got my MINI on the 16th of October. I had to relive some of the excitment by visiting you all. You will not be disappointed. Your Babies will all be home and snug in thier beds for Christmas.
Celtic Frost
What part of Denver do you live in? I'm over in Edgewater. Maybe we can get together sometime. They treat you right, from my experience, over at Ralph Schomps. Vince Quick was our MA and he is great. Don't expect lot of gifts other than a full tank and possibly some floor matts.
Don't loose to much sleep y'all, your big day is coming.

A little bit off subject, Merlin, but how do you get sucha wonderful signature when they want to limit an upload to 13.0MB? I can't even get the badge I want displayed, they say it is too large a file. thanx

My signature is only 88.3 kb in size. It is 100 X 500 pixels at 72 pixels per inch. It was created in Photoshop. I am a photographer by trade, so it was a pretty simple project for me. If you have a Photoshop program (Elements, CS2, Version 7.0 etc) create your signature to 100 X 500 pixels @ 72 pixels per inch. You can resize a current image to that standard using PS as well. As far as the badge goes, just resize it to 100 X 100 pixels by 72 PI. It will look terrific on screen. Just remember you are making an image for screen display, not printout. There is a big difference.

Sorry, I mistyped, the file size can be no larger that 500X100 pixels or
19.5 kb whichever is smaller.
