Hi fellow motorers. We picked up our new baby this morning. It was a beautiful day for a drive (after all of the storms lately) and the car is a blast. Love that six-speed transmission! Check out pics in the link!

Blackout - we'll be on the same truck! Cannot wait! My MA said that even if it comes in on Tuesday, we might have a wait since they have alot coming in.

Hoping it's sooner though.......

Sounds good to me!

Called my MA on Saturday to nail some more things down... Got my Wind Deflector, Boot net Glove box organizer, and Black carpet floor mats ready and waiting for me. Went with a Credit Unioin for financing. got 7.6% on a 84 month loan...(would be a LOT lower rate with a shorter loan, but I got my payments below $450!) Insurance is only $10(!) more then the 1990 Honda junker we got rid of. (Honda's arent bad, but THIS one had been in some serious accidents and was simply falling apart )

I would LOVE to take delivery earlier, but my Wife works the first half of the week and gets off too late to make it before Rasmussen closes. So Thursday is the earliest!

Now off to MOSS MINI to buy my euro parcel shelf!

Easy... two torx screws and there's double stick tape holding it to the down tube - just pry it off slowly. Post in the marketplace for $25 shipped and someone will buy it, pronto.

Might Be Tomorrow!

Called my MA today to "Pester" him about the status of my MINI and he said the car was IN! and better yet it had already made it thru the shop and all that was left was to get thru the detailer!!! SO if all goes well tomorrow at 4pm I will be driving my BRAND NEW MCSC!!

If all doesn't go so well I have to wait ALL the way until Tuesday since Rasmussen is closed over the weekend and on Monday My MA is already working on his day off so maybe he can "Pester" the detail shop to get me out of there before the long weekend...:impatient

P.S. got my Euro under dash parcel tray today from MOSS motors
it looks like a quality piece of workmanship and should gives us just a little bit more storage. Ok NOW I AM EXCITED...

Nice...I'm sure I saw it in the garage... I just picked mine up yesterday!!! I need to give it a little wash (yes I know already... roads up here have been nasty since the wind storm and the icy roads with sand and deicer). After that I will take some pictures! This car is a blast!!! Go-cart!!! I love it!!!

Just to let everyone know... Sgt Pepper has reported for 'active' duty and is safely housed in his new barracks in Straughn, IN with a grand total of 75 miles on his odometer! What a blast!! I've come up with a new acronym... WTW (Worth The Wait)!!!

Got Mine Yesterday too!

Got the call at noon and headed on in at 1:30. Jiggy was ready and waiting for us! Had a super time picking up our MINI and now have 100 Miles on the clock! (picked up at 13, took the long way home!)

Here are the Picks:

(and yes we removed the silly dash sticker right after this photo)
Total anthricite interior looks absolutly hot and the top works sooo slick!
Best convertible I have ever driven let alone owned!
NOW if I can only stand to keep it under 4500RPM

Yep, ditto that! We had the top down some in Indy yesterday, on the way home and had the sunroof back a little while today during a traffic jam on I-65. Took a 300 mile trip to Brown County, IN today and didn't even notice the weather! Love the car, love the way it drives, love, love, love!!! Blackout, I could not figure out how to post full sized pics with the message. How 'bout a little lesson? I love our anthracite interior, also. Really classy!!

Awesome wheels, Blackout! I didn't realize we had so many cabrios in week 46! Let me know how useful you find that Euro parcel shelf. Been thinking about picking one up for Gonzo, but I'm not sure yet.

Great looking car Royal!! I really like the wheels! You'll have fun, even if it is in the rain! lol Sgt Pepper & I logged another 150 today. I'm still amazed that in fast 90 degree corners, it doesn't lean!! just runs around there not even caring much how fast you're going! What an experience! I love it! Thanks again for the pics.

Thanks oldtrojan! Glad you're loving your car as much as I love mine . I can hardly wait until the spring/summer! Those mountain twisties will be a blast!
Love the pepper white by the way I almost got that myself.

Royal!

Wow, those pictures are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool! How did you get such cool wheels? I got my mini last Thursday and have put close to 500 miles on it! Weeeeeeeeeha! I'm a bit disappointed because the dealer had my car sitting on the lot for two days and didn't install the options I ordered (including my stripes!) so between that and the rain... I'm waiting to post my pics. Was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with the park lane interior. I ordered it and was surprised that it only was on a very small portion of my dash... I thought it would be a little more comprehensive. Has anyone seen any photos of this... so I can compare how it's supposed to look? They changed the mini site so it's not even an option any more... any help greatly appreciated... Happy motoring all!

The parcel Shelf is WAAAY cool. Especially if you carry your phone/etc with you when motoring. It is also usefull if you like to take your wallet out of your pocket when in the drivers seat! The little space behind the cupholders becomes pretty useless if you have to get to something when you actually have cups in the cupholders...

There is also a nice amount of space on the shelf. it is pretty deep and waay down low so you really cant see something that is on the shelf from outside the car.

So what are people using to get rid of the bloody air bag stickers? hah. I tried a wet rag on the glovebox one, but it's still sticking on fairly well. I wish the visor ones were removable, too.

Believe it or not, I thought about covering the ones on the visor with black tape of some kind. I think its just another sign of the corporate thinking that all consumers are idiots and have to be reminded of simple things all the time.:impatient
