"THE LIBERTY HAS LANDED" in Charleston, SC.

Now the important question is, how long does it take to get throught the VDC? Anyone have any info on that?

My MINI just hit US soil!

Thanks to the tracking links on this site I know my MINI was being off-loaded today at the dock in Charleston!

My car is on the Emden. The Emden was at Union Pier Berth 3 today. Woohoo we are getting closer!

I called ASK MINI and the computer says she is on the dock in the UK waiting for a ship. The MINI USA customer rep says he has no idea where she is. IMHO either they need to get their act together or forget it. I'll see her when I see her......
My MINI was on the Bellona which docked in CA on 11/10. My MA just called to say that he has her, will do the dealer installs, and I can pick her up on Tuesday morning. FYI - Shortly before he called, MINI USA tracking changed from 'en route' to 'in VPC.' That is indicative of how far behind the tracking process is! Useless!

In the Pacific now

If you go to http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...esselSearch.do and enter Don Juan in the vessel field and then click the Search button, you'll see that the Don Juan has left Manzanillo, Panama and should be in the Pacific now.

It looks like all the NAM folk on the Don Juan are on the west coast (or Hawaii) as there haven't been any postings of week 43ers or 44ers on the Don Juan taking delivery yet.....

I read somewhere you could get pics of it going thru the canal. Did you run across a site like that?

Hey Celtic, good to here from you again. The DonJuan isn't scheduled to hit Port Huneme until 11/29 at the earliest. Actually my MA told me that it has been delayed 1 day and it won't hit until 11/30. So, not to Seattle until around 12/15. I'm ready for it to come home now though!

I think I read that too, but I can't remember where. So no pics of it passing thru Panama .

I'm hoping that it'll still get there on the 29th since it left Panama on schedule. I was browsing NAM last night and got directed to a thread in a BMW forum that mentioned that there's a BMW and Mini back-up/logjam at the VDC in Port Hueneme because there's a problem with one of the new 3-series BMWs that is supposedly being fixed at the VDC.

I'm trying to be patient and will probably call my MA around the 29th or 30th to get an estimated arrival time. I'm kind of scared to call and ask for fear of bad news, but I think 12/15 is a realistic date for me as well.

Sup Guys,

In light of all this delay talk, I have some good news. I talked to my MA yesterday and he said my MINI got released from the VDC and its on the way down. Earliest today, latest Saturday. I am hoping the truck driver does not want to be driving on Thanksgiving, and just drops them off today, but the wait for me will soon be over.

I hope you guys get some good news soon!
