FYI - I set up a chat room for MINI order tracking over at MotoringFun.com. Should be fun chatting with other MINIacs waiting for their MINIs to be delivered!

According to 866-ASKMINI, mine is "scheduled for production", but there's no "confirmed production date". I wonder if I got pushed back as well .

The website still says I am "scheduled for production". I just got an email from my MA (he kicks butt) that says my mini status is "152", which means its getting painted and the next step is assembly.

I just called ASK MINI to compare with your response. They were closed so I did the automated order tracking. It said that I am in the paintshop and my estimated completion date is October 26th. It seems that I am moving later and later thru the week.

Hopefully you guys will get in the paintshop soon!

Got a call from the MA. Apparently the October 26th estimate was way off. It turns out my car was completed on October 22nd and it's already at the docks waiting for a boat!

Looks like you're a bit ahead of me as my "estimated completion date" (according to ASKMINI) is HALLOWEEN .

I'm in Denver, so I'm guessing it'll be shipped to the west coast before being transported to the dealer. You're in Hawaii, right? I wonder if your boat goes directly from Oxford to Hawaii or if it takes a pit stop in Cali.

Yea. I'm ahead of my own "estimated completion date". My MA was surprised that it got completed so fast too.

My car gets shipped to Cali, it goest to the VDP center (I think thats what its called). They do some stuff to it, then it gets on another boat to hawaii.

Update on My Week 43 Build

I just heard from 1-866-ASK-MINI that my 2006 MCS is at the (departure) port! The build date started on 10/18 and it just left for the port according to my contact on the phone.Guess I will try to track it when I go check those links to tracking on the main page....

I googled Euro Parcel shelf and got a bunch of hits:

EDIT -- check this out https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=81340

Not sure how old those links are as the small research I've done suggests that they may not be available in the US --- you may want to find a way to contact a MINI dealer in Europe.

Gonzo - Have fun w/ the Works kit. A bit beyond my budget, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Whats UP! New here at NAM. Ordered "Pepperoni" my PW MCS on the 14th, and it was officially born 4 days ago on Oct. 25th. ASK MINI told me it was waiting for a ship. Does anyone know how long that takes? The WW tracking site also does not seem to be recognizing my VIN. Anyone else read anything about this issue? Thanks for any input.

I got a Pepper White/Black Roof Mini Cooper S. Black Letherette, Chrono Pack, full Anthrasite interior. I went a bit basic, but that is what I can afford. I kinda regret not getting the Chrome interior accects. Can I get those from the dealer after the it gets here. I shout out from Miami in good ol' South FLA.

Welcome from week 38. I would recommend getting the Interiro Chrome Line pkg from the dealer and installing them yourself if you want to save a bit of money. See link for details: http://www.jwardell.com/mini/chrome.html

I'm not sure how much the dealer charges for this, but given that Classic wanted over $200 just to install the AUX cable, I'm guessing you'll save quite a bit doing it yourself.

Or you could check with the dealer, it might not be too late to add it. It definitely is worth it IMHO.

Awaiting Transport

As of this evening I am still awaiting transport and the shipping company is still not recognizing my VIN.

I am in North Carolina and my dealer says I may see my car roughly 11/20. It wouldn't surprise me to see it sooner according to what I have heard from various sources.

A note on the parcel shelf...I got mine from Bavarian Hypersports who sourced it from Moss a few weeks back. Someone told me BMW North America had several hundred of them but were not releasing them for sale in the market. I think it is a DOT / manufacturer thing...If you want one at this point you might want to try the UK sources.

Thanks for the input. I checked out that link to self install the trim. I might actually do that. I do everything myself now so it should be really easy.

On the subject of the Aux Port, they were giving you a deal. My old MA told me it was going to cost me $300. I laughed, and changed MA. My current MA said $150. I just find it hard to pay that much for a $40 part.

P.S. (for Gonzo) I also got the Sport Package. I have always wanted HID Xenons.

I am having the same issue with the shipping company. My MA told me the around the end of November too. Since I am in South Florida, I should get mini several days after you.

When was you MINI officially finished?

Wow, it's finished next month already? Mine was born on 10/22 so they're probably both down at the docks hanging out together waiting for the next boat. Lets hope they stay outta trouble down there.

For those of us awaiting a ship, I went to the WW Auto Cargo Tracking site, and found a section where you can see the schedules of the ship going from Southhampton to New York. There are ships leaving almost everyday.

SOUTHAMPTON 31/10/2006 NEW YORK, NY 09/11/2006 DON PASQUALE
SOUTHAMPTON 02/11/2006 NEW YORK, NY 10/11/2006 LIBERTY
SOUTHAMPTON 05/11/2006 NEW YORK, NY 13/11/2006 COURAGE
SOUTHAMPTON 06/11/2006 NEW YORK, NY 14/11/2006 DON JUAN
SOUTHAMPTON 07/11/2006 NEW YORK, NY 16/11/2006 BOHEME

Here is the list I found. First is Original Port and date of Departure, second is Destination Port with Estimated Arrival Date, and last is the name of the ship. I am not sure if this helps, but it gives us a bit of hope that we might be on one of these, or already heading across.

I am having the same problem!! When did your MINI get to the docks, and where is it going? Mine got to the docks last Friday on the 27th.

If yours is going to a eastern location go and check your VIN to see if it got on yesterdays ship. Mine is traveling to Florida.

I have a feeling that Pepperoni is on the "Liberty," but I just checked again a little bit ago, and my VIN still does not work.
