no production week for me yet.

*singing* "Have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry, when you get impatient, you only start to worry... remember, remember, that God is patient too, And think of all the times that others have to wait for you." (Old Sunday School song... just came to me)

I ordered in late June from South Bay Mini and got my production number at the end of July. My MA gave me the production week.

I ordered from Long Beach Mini in late June and got my production # in late July. My MA is saying that I should expect my Mini in the middle or late Oct. What did your MA's say in regards to delivery of the car?

I ordered 8/1, and am in the same litter. MCS, Black on black with Premium and Sport. Delivery for early OCT, I figure (and delivery to Germany).

Looks like a wait of 6 - 8 weeks from start of production - 6 for the east coast and 8 for the left coast. See this link for some background - http://motoringfile.com/2005/05/13/m...ine/#more-4175

My baby's name is Wishbone - has anybody named theirs yet?

Anyone had any luck with their production number working on the Mini site? Mine's showing up as not valid (or something close to that). I assume there's a delay between the email going out, and the database getting updated.

Who's already bought crap for their car? I've been eyeballing the "Turbocharged" emblems over at autobadges.com -- it's not too early, is it? I mean, I don't even have a VIN for the thing, and I'm looking for ways to change it. With my last car ('69 Camaro RS), it seemed as if I was always buying something for it....

And I'm torn on names. Waiting for the kids to weigh on on what to name it. I'm leaning towards just plain Coop. But who knows. It'll probably come down to delivery date before it gets settled....

I'm working on the suspension first. Already have Koni FSDs, H&R springs, and H Sport anti-roll bar. Will order non-run flats once Wishbone has arrived at Port Hueneme. I thought about the aerokit, but don't think I will get it - will get a splitter and grills from m7 instead

Ah, Boneman, a kindred spirit. The Koni's are at the top of my list -- smooth out the ride some, drop it a hint lower. I am going to opt for the Aero kit -- maybe it's just a European thing. Question, though -- what's the Koni's do to the warranty?

Here is a crazy question, when I called ask mini site, the guy told me that the factory was closed down until september 15th. Now, certainly since everyone has a prod wk of 36, that can't be true. Do you think it's a partial shut down? I think I will call ask mini again, quiz em!

A week 33er here, please report back once you have some answers! I'm anxious as well about the possible plant shutdown.

Ok, I just hung up with a very nice ask mini employee who is also a mini driver! yeah! She said that the plant is closed for 2 wks. It will open again next week. So there should be production from the third week of august on. Sounds like everyone with a 36wk production date will be right on schedule. As for me.. I probably will end up a 38-40 wker. Oh, and she said that actual production time is 3-4 days even though they give us a 5-7 day window on production. 4-6 wk shipping time varies because sometimes car's arrive at the dock, and miss the boat and east coast vs west. Now I think I can give them rest for a few days before I give them another call.

Great investigation work, Climbergirl!!

That clears up a few questions. But why would yours be pushed back? Mine hasn't even hit the production line yet (as of 8/9) and I was quoted 36th week.

You ordered before me I know.
