Hey Ukhan...

I've ordered almost the indentical MINI to yours. I've got to believe that they will be in the same paint and parts rooms together... I've found a couple of MINIs in town that I can go and gaze at, just to get a very minor MINI fix. I don't know if it makes the wait easier or harder. I stare in the windows and mentally drive. Am I nutz or wut?

 

haha yea... dont very thats very common and just prepare your self because the wait will only get harder from here untill you actually get the car lol anyways you have nice specs on your car and the color i love RG/S i can't wait .....

mines spoused to be completed on 24th of next week cant wait.....

 

Hello from a week 33'er

I believe Katherine's mini was the first one in line at the paint shop, as she has beatin all of us in week 33 to the docks/ship.

I have no idea how I lucked out the way I did - my order went in the morning after I ordered, and production started 2 days later! I think it was really sheer chance.

It sounds like things for you folks are rolling along smoothly too! Week 33 is rooting for you

 

WHHOOHOOO.... guess what all? Production wk 36!!!! I called askMINI today, and they told me I am to go into production week of sept 4th. I got my last change done in time (english leather instead of standard leather). I am doin the happy dance, happy dance! That means we should have delivery around the end of October or first week of Nov (left coast). Oh no... now I have to actually try to sell my 330, and start ordering my mods. Thinkin about chippin it. to alarm or not to alarm.. already worked out a deal for the window tint... so much to do!

Climbergirl - I just posted on your heard a rumor post. Still think I am week 36 but at least things are moving? I live in Ventura and work in Calabasas - let me know if you come up with a good tint place because I'm in the market too. (I already have too many things stacked up in my office - good job I haven't ordered the non-run-flats from TireRack yet )

 

boneman, I used A-pro tinting in WLA on santa monica blvd for my 330, and that is where my MCS will go. (4 of my friends have taken their cars their as well) I also heard about of place called sticker city in the valley. I think Van Nuys. I am not too familiar with calabasas or ventura. What dealership did you use?

 

Ordered 7/23 got production number today (8/21) and hoping for week 36 start but I doubt it. MAYBE I can be with you guys! I'm ordering from East Bay Mini up in the SF area, the only place up here without markup... so there's a big waiting list for the S's.
HB/W, premium/sport/white slites/HB interior and shift ****. ummmm gonna put the hibiscus checkmate style stripes on the hood and a variation on the boot... getting tints at the dealer.... still thinking.

Climbergirl, that would be great if you got your's earlier. Wow, English leather are we? That's a nice option.

 

I know I know.. It looks so, retro! Thankfully I can stop making changes. In 1 month I have added 1k in "improvements". I am finished now. I am still doing the happy dance!

haha, nice to see you got the english leather! You will have to show me pics of your car when you get it! (if the swamp butt gets too bad, you could always buy some embroidered Mini logo towels to sit on. )

Climbergirl - you mentioned in another thread that your status changed 8/15 to scheduled for production (same day as my status changed). I just found out that Wishbone is in production (started yesterday) (my face is going to break I'm grinning so hard) - so you just may want to check with ASK MINI again

 

I looked at it this way, I can't sweat anymore in it than I do in my black leatherette on my 330, and although I love my bimmer, my MCS is much cutier. So, it's worth it!! Plus, I am going to buy a portable carport since I have to park outside. Help cut the heat down. yeah! happy dance

 

WHAT? You are in production??? That's awsome! So, you are not a wk 36er anymore . But, that makes me sooo happy for you! I called yesterday. The askmini guy told me sept 4th for production. So, maybe you were bumped up a wk, and I got your spot! Have you decided on where you want to do your tint? I going with formula one brand, comfort series 30%. Thats what I have on my 330, and I like it. $229, lifetime warrenty, sunroof for free (doing a limo on the sunroof). The guy who installs the tint has worked there for 13 yrs. He is pretty good. check em out.

 

A-Pro Tinting is right on my drive home from South Bay MINI so I'll try and get it done the same day I pick Wishbone up. Awesome

 

You need to call a couple days ahead. They do stay busy. If you have a sunroof, you can get them to throw that in for free. Nice to see you visit our little 36 wker thread... it's been quiet without you.

Did find out that I'm still scheduled to start production in Week 36.

I've thought about calling askmini but have never done it. I figure I'll just get the same somewhat disheartening information that I get in the Owners' Lounge: your MINI is on order. Probably sometime around Sept. 4th we will see our little blue dot move down to the "scheduled for production." At least we should all have our MINIs in time for a truly thankful Thanksgiving!

 

aww.. go on, just give them a call, say "customer relations" and speak to a live person. I have full MINI conversations with them. Many of them own MINI's themselves. I ask them all kinds of questions.. It's pretty funny!
