Ohhhh...now I remember. Yes, it is Sport Drive. I remember this from my second test drive. Wanted to make sure the acceleration was good enough to get out of the way of crazy drivers. I told myself (after getting my first V6) that I would NEVER drive a 4-cyl again because "they don't have enough power"! Guess I never knew I'd be buying a MINI!

 

Yep! You're crazy! I put Rain-X on the back window of my mom's MCSc because there's no rear wiper. Doesn't do diddly-squat. Because it's just dirty road spray from off your tires, it isn't heavy enough to accumulate into drops to run off. So, yeah, have fun with that.

But, since you don't have one any more, think about getting one of these!

Wow, congrats to everyone on either their pick-ups or sneak peaks!! All the pics look great. Slowly but surely, we're all motoring.

I dropped Nitro off at the body shop this morning. Hopefully I'll be motoring again by this weekend. They said it should take 3-4 days, but they could find more damage when they remove his bumper. Everybody keep your fingers crossed!!

As for the Sport Drive, I haven't had the chance to use it yet. I was going to wait until after break-in, but you guys have me itching to play with it!

 

No, it's the Salt Flats west of Salt Lake City. Almost got my new mini stuck there 'cause the salt/soil is a lot softer than it looks!

Crusoe - Oh man, I know where you are. Esp. after having the "false start" of getting it a week ago. Arrrgghh!

What I did, as you all know, is worked on my "boot stripes" project. It occupied my time and was still able to stay in relatively good space.

So Crusoe, what mods, accessories, etc. are you planning for Pepe?

 

Only a few of us PW27ers left waiting for their MINIs! So exciting that everyone is finally getting their MINIs! The other day I was thinking about how this past summer has flown by and how we were all wondering "where our MINI was" in the production area, etc. Now, here we are... almost all of us motoring... ::tear::

I hope everyone keeps this thread alive once the last few have their MINIs... I feel like we are all on the same boat just experience and discovery wise, seeing as how we all are getting our cars around the same time frame. Much like parents joining a play group of people whose children were born within a few weeks of each other! ;D

Oh yes! That's why these were her "before" pictures. She'll look different soon. She supposedly got her driving lights put on last night. The clear bra and sport stripes are going on soon (black bonnet and boot). Not sure what the timeline is for the dark graphite/pearl leather seats and painting the dash/door bits PW.

I decided to put the Euro parcel shelf in myself. $250 was just stupid. I did a friend's last weekend and it took all of 5 minutes. The part is $75.

 

WOW. Great mods/additions! I LOVE the PW/B with black bonnet/boots. That's what inspired me to add boots.

Are you going with the "classic" stripes?

 

Nope. The new sport (shelby looking) stripes....like in my sig.

 

Great news - Nitro's repairs are done!!!!! I just heard from the body shop. My wife will be picking me up from work in a couple hours so we can go pick the little guy up. And I will be going over his repairs with a fine toothed comb!!!!

Btw Turcicus, congrats on getting Nitro out of the hospital. Glad the damage was minimal!
