Production Week 24 (June 12, 2006) Support Group
For those who are aboard the Emden: Based on most recent update at sailwx.info (and based on my calculations--always risky),we can estimate that our Mini's are at approximately 73 degrees W, or something less than 300 nautical miles out of Baltimore at 0600 this morining. Suggests to me that she will be at the docks between 1200 and 1800 on the 27th--as expected. (I'm assuming a significant slowdown from the present 14-15 knots per hr in order to navigate the last 100 miles or so.) For us Charleston debarkees, things are still looking good for arrival there on 29JUN, which is what the Port of Charleston shows for her. So, assuming she will unload on 30JUN, I'm gussing that our Mini's should be in Spartenburg NLT 3JUN, just in time for the 4th of July holiday. More guessing: Guess the distribution center works a regular 40 hr week and takes holidays.
Given this, all of our Mini's will be on a truck by 7JUL and headed for the dealers. Think I'm looking at a 8JUL-11JUL delivery at MINI of Nashville.
Did I mention already that the '06 version of the MCS is the crown of creation in the Mini world? Or that they are amazing creatures for the money? Or that I'm stupid excited about driving this car? Etc?
(Just didn't want you to think I had lost any enthusiasm . . . .)

Tracking...
At this point, both Manon and Liberty tracking is nonexistent via the ww maps, however the port schedules seem to be accurate. Manon and Liberty are both due to dock in NYC today.

So how long will it take to clear the processing center and on to the delivery truck?

4th July !! That would be fantastic but I didn't think that achievable. Does anyone else know what a realistic timescale could be? acitydweller has just got me going again !!!!!!!
well lets just say it is delivered to the dock today, 26Jun... and takes 3 days at the preparation center.
I dont have any Accessories on my car so I hope it should be ready for delivery by thurs-friday? Prestige mini is in Mahwah NJ and probably about 30 miles or less from the docks. If there is anything that could be done to accellerate this process, let me know... I am hoping for a saturday or monday pickup... am i crazy or what?
i may be getting ahead of myself but hay... im friggin excited

Ok. apologies first, as It appears i am saturating this thread. MA just called and said the car can be at the dealership as soon as tomorrow (tuesday) or latest Thursday. He started working out the payment details.
Looks like I'll have my mini before the July 4th weekeend!!!

Man...lucky dog...
I'm still just hoping I'm on the K-Line Emden and mine was complete on June 10th.
Lucky...
acitydweller and shafTT - you are both very lucky to live where you live! I wish Homestar could be home that early! I have a beautiful 200 mile drive scheduled for July 7th and 8th, but I don't think Homestar will be ready for it. I hope you both get yours before the 4th

I'm excited to hear how quickly the cars could be processed. If 3-4 days is the case, I too may be driving my Mini before the 4th of July!

I guess mine probably won't be getting to the dealer at the earliest until the 7th. I am having a security system installed so I'll have to wait until the dealer is done with that. May around the 14th? So about 2 1/2 more weeks.....????

Ahoy, MiniAficianado,
Planning on any roof graphics or stripes?
I've got a plan to add a checkered top in a few months time-
September. Or are you getting some things done at the dealer?
