I'm like you... I have all these PLANS! I guess I better just GET the car first, before I"m modded out! Seems like there are enough MINIs South of the River here to make a new sub-group.... I've seen a CR/W one just around the corner and up the street from me, driver unknown, although I bet he'll spot me when I drive by with his twin!

Our MINIs' stay at the dealership should be a short one.... oops, forgot, I don't want to pick mine up til AUGUST..... wonder if that is gonna happen now!

Good thought on the boot stripe install... I think you can do it!

I went without stripes too, although I have to admit that at the last minute,
when I found out the stripes on the MCS were done at the factory
and not the dealer (correct anyone?) I was going to change my mind....
but then found out the car was in production so back to my PLAN A!

Now I can spend a few weeks pondering... white, or black stripes???????

Well, it looks like my mini is in the ISOLDE ship. It has to be, it's the only ship that departed Southampton after they completed my mini in production and since I'm now En route that has to be the ship.

I probably will not be seeing my baby until mid July.

As for mods, I'm thinking mostly cosmetic and more do-it-myself stuff like chrome exhaust tip, checkered sunroof (space blue and silver). I'll leave the tinting to the expert. And a checkered JCW floormats.

I hear you. I got the factory bonnet stripes but for the boot... I'm going to give it a go myself rather than paying a premium for the dealer to outsource it to a 3rd party.

I waffled back and forth between HB/W and HB/B and finally settled on Black mainly because it seemed more unique (I hadn't seen one in Columbus). However, coming home last night I saw a convertible HB/B with bonnets. Drat!

Hey Checker, my MA e-mailed about a week ago... all the e-mail said was "July 9".

This is the estimated dock date for our Isolde... and I think my car will look a lot like yours... 'cept no Squeakroof (sunroof... previous experience demands derisive comment... sorrry!)

 

Nice, checker has a party mate at Isolde. I hear ya about the sunroof, heard complains about the squeak, I still want it though :-) Hopefully, your MA knows more than WW, according to WW it's arriving at July 11. Can you track your VIN in WW website or you're not getting anything too?

 

Hi Checker.. Where did you buy yours from? I'm out of Bob Smith in Calabasas... My MA seems to know quite a bit. I do not have my vin and therefore am not tracking through WW's site. Quick question, how did you get the badges and picture in your sig? I want to do something cool, but not patient enough to read how...

Well, that's the million dollar question. I definitely want to get graphics, but I can’t decide what I want. I’ve thought about getting contrasting stripes and I’ve also thought about the checkered top. When I pick up my MINI in Dallas, there is a place that does a lot of graphics for MINIs…..Cooper Flags. I am thinking about stopping by and seeing if they have ideas to choose from. I even thought about trying to design my own, but nothing seems to come to mind.

You are right, though……..CR/W is the way to go

Have you guys downloaded the Unauthorized Owner's Manual in the Owner's Lounge? A lot of fun stuff!

Port of Charleston still shows Emden coming in on 29JUN06. That's like . . . tomorrow! Should show up on their vessels docked list. That will be very encouraging after not being able to track the Emden since 24JUN. That's a long ways back.

Who out of this group thinks that they are onboard the Emden? Let me know--and where you will be getting delivery. Our delivery is at MINI of Nashville.

 

Odas Koger, I think mine is on the Emden. It finished production June 10th and was heading to Port Charleston, so I am pretty sure. Tomorrow? That's exciting!

I think/hope I'm on the EMDEN as well. I was at the port by June 10th 2 days ahead of my projected completion date.

Yeah. I watched it like three times.

I noticed something new in my Order details today.

its been black ever since the car was loaded onto the vessel (MANON).

today, an expected delivery date is posted. I suggest everyone check their order details as well...

I pick up my new baby tomorrow afternoon in time for a Holiday weekend of fun. I haven't seen it yet but he read the spec out to me and all seems to be correct so assuming it hasn't got a problem with the paint or anything I am good to go!
