Ladies and Gents...

may I present to you... My royal grey MINI!!

Ive added a couple of cosmetic mods:

Chrome scoop
Chrome antenna (but will be switching it for the alta antenna soon)

I initially had the chrome grill (came with the chrome exterior package) but switched it out w/ the original body color grill. Gives it a more aggresive look IMO.

heres a pic of the de-badged back and my interior w/ the pacel shelf (a must...as you all know)

to tie it all in, I also added door caps also known as "spiffy caps" bought at Lowe's hardware

Thanks. I thought that the chrome scoop would go really well with the silver stripes and with the color combo I chose. I absolutely love it!

Heres a couple more pics.

My Glove Box Tidy (two-tone gray) kudos to Alan from gominigo
Ipod install (auxilliary input) in the parcel shelf
and an "Actual Size" decal in carbon fiber (a more stealthy approach) made by Ed at cooperflags

BTW I would like to thank all of the members of NAM for helping directly or indirectley in the building of my MINI.

Very nice MINI!! I agree, although I am a big fan of chrome grills, yours looks great w/ that body colored grill. It is more aggressive looking (as you noted) and w/ that chrome scoop it might have been just too much bling.

Thanks, my thoughts exactlly. When I had my chrome grill on I felt like there was too much bling. I feel like everything blends well together now.

My cosmetic mods are almost done. Driving lamps are in the horizon but for the immediate I am considering getting clear bumper arche lights. Any thoughts, smoked maybe? or any other mods for that matter??

Great Looking MINI Souldier08! Congrats! Mine is crossing the Atlantic right now. I'm curious...I love your version of the "Actual Size" decal. Where did you find it or did you have it created for your Royal Grey???

Good looking MINI, Souldier08! I've been thinking of doing the chrome scoop, too. Now, I'm convinced. Where did you get the parcel shelf? I gotta get one of those!

cool! if you have a hard time installing the shelf theres alot of info here on NAM or you can use the instructions of outmotoring.com. BTW, where did you create your sig? Would like to make one for myself.

Anyone have an opinion on the clear arche reflector lights? Im debating between clear or smoked but would like to get more feedback from fellow nam members before I take the plunge.

Lots of different opinions on the driving lights, OEM or different. Personally, I like the OEM - we have them on both MINIs and love them...

Hey does anyone know where you can get those checkmate stripes on the outside?? I love the way those stripes look and would like to add them to my car before it gets too old and the old black stripes will show. I guess I could always go to the dealer but the local dealer near me has the worst parts dept probably on the east coast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your looking for the original decal I would suggest call Classic Mini of Ohio. If you want a replica or a custom checkmate decal contact ed at cooperflags. Great guy, great service!

ok thanks man for the help....I have had my car for about 4 1/2 months now with the black OEM stripes and I really love those checkmate stripes and I think my Hyper Blue woudl look great with those stripes. Anybody on here have any experience with removing decals after some time....do you think 4 1/2 months is too long to remove decals?? I dont want the old stripes to show the darker paint that they have been covering up all this time. Thanks again.

Really nice color. I had a chance on a RG MCS but was missing some things I really wanted in my MCS. Once you see RG live you will be amazed at how it's able to change shades by the surrounding lighting.

She's a beauty ..

Appreciate the compliments . I agree the color changes depending on the lighting. If its overcast its a nice rich dark gray and when the sun's blasting the color becomes a bronzy gray and in the evenings its almost black. Absolutely love the versatility! LOVE IT!
