Sitting in a Mini in Winslow, Arizona...

Salutations from "a corner" in Winslow, Arizona, where we are certainly a fine sight to see...

With the addition of our new Mini we now own 3 CVT vehicles! 2 Suzuki Burgman 650s and our, as yet unnamed, Cooper. We purchased her at Long Beach Mini last Saturday and then broke her in on the 500 mile ride back home. Lots of fun!

We do have couple of questions that may be readily answered by some of the older hands here... 1) Is High Octane gasoline really necessary? We've tried a tank of 87 and had no knocking... B) Is there a preferred Bluetooth Cell Phone for use with the built-in BT hook-up? We'll be replacing at least one of our cells to use in the new baby.

This looks to be as good a forum as the Burgman USA forum where we spend a lot of time already. Not to mention VROC where we still hang out, as we still own a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic - one VERY sweek cruiser!

Thanks all.

Congratulations!

Did your car come with bluetooth? If so, any bluetooth enabled phone should work.

The gas thing, I am not going near that, I'll let someone else answer it because I myself am confused about it right now.

So what are the names of the seven women on your mind?

Check out the "Newbie fuel question" thread, second down in the "1st Gear" forum. This subject has been discussed ad nauseam, so you probably won't get much of a response in this thread.

Sorry, I know nothing about Bluetooth! Good luck with the car.

Chris

My bad. As soon as I returned to the forum, I saw and read the thread. You're right - ad nauseum!

I guess we'll be switching to premium, at least for comparison...

Thanks for the reply.

I (Nanette) was born and raised in S.D. and Fran was raised there. We escaped to Winslow in 1991. I love to visit S.D. and while Winslow is not very pretty, the people and small town atmosphere have kept us here. Well, that, and we've been priced out of S.D anyway.
Well, just wanted to jump in and introduce myself, and to assure all that Fran does not have more than one woman on his mind. He has been ogling MY Mini though!

mcqz,

Welcome to NAM You are probably one of a very few that bought you MINI out west and took it "east". What with prices/availability here in CA most go east to buy

When you come to visit San Diego get in touch and we could meet for lunch or coffee or whatever and a drive.

Earl
