Just put the new MCS to bed after the big day! Picked him up this morning and took him out for a jaunt north to Maine for some lobster!

LOVING the car! I was a little nervous about the new Space Blue color, but it was love at first site. The car in space blue with silver roof and the silver slite wheels looks amazing!

I originally wanted the stripe but was told I couldnt get it till after (couldnt wait for a late October/early November build) and I am glad I waited. I saw the new stripe on a Cooper on the lot and I didnt like it that much. I think i really like my car just the way it is. However, if need be I can always add it later. We shall see.

Anyway, the drive north was just sooo much fun. Car is very comfortable and I just love the crackle from the exhaust and the sound of the supercharger. Just love it. Cant wait to go out tommorrow!!!

Excellent, another SB/S! I was told the same thing about the stripe, and I'm glad I didn't get it as well. I'm debating getting the original stripes, just in silver, and down the back, but I'm really liking the way the car looks right now. Very elegant.

Congratulations! I've only gotten 300 miles on Miles so far.

 

We went for a Purple Haze/silver combination. Under the right lighting circumstances, th epurple haze looks like Space Blue.

Even we opted for an early delivery over stripes. Our thinking was that we get the car first and then decide upon the stripes. Waiting for the sliver stripes to reach the dealer. Understand that Mini BMW will initially send the bonnet scoop in a primed/unpainted condition, and if the demand is substantial, they will start delivering in prepainted silver.

You lucky dog you! A new Cooper S & lobster too. Can't get much better than that in my mind. I had lobster for lunch today, but sadly no MCS for me yet. There was a pretty Indi Blue Cooper in the parking lot that I looked at while I devoured my lunch. Heck I didn't even get to go to Maine. Congrats on your new Mini. Sounds like a beauty. Be careful not to get any lobster butter on that steering wheel.

Did you pick it up from MINI of Peabody? I wonder if it is the car I photo'ed a few weeks ago (although that would mean you didn't pick it up for a month so that can't be right) ...

My SB/S MCS is coming in 2-3 weeks, and I have been starving for pictures of the color. I opted for the Silver bonnet stripe coming off the hood scoop. I hope it looks good. I know some people don’t like the stripes. It took me a while to decide to push out my production date waiting for that option.
