Well after Months of searching we found our Mini Project. First let me introduce myself My name is Rich and My daughter is Ruth and we bought a 2006 Mini non s getrag 5 speed that "needs a clutch" off of fb marketplace with 95k on the clock. and a few other minor issues and we are here for some help and guidance as we proceed with this build. this will be Ruth's senior year of high school car and while we think we know the pitfalls of mini's through our research and prep we think we have found the best combination given that we are starting this project during a pandemic we figured how much worse could it get. lol

please forgive my lack of sentence structure. i'm just trying to get the info down before i forget what i'm doing.

Welcome to the forum. Besides the wealth of knowledge here YouTube has been my friend as well. My 13 yr old daughter has a bit of her dad in her and she thinks she getting the mini when she turns 16.

 

yes we have been mod mini fans for awhile now, as for the daughter thing we are 3 weeks out of 16 for her may 26th birthday same as the duke John Wayne and going into her senior year heading for an aerospace engineering degree and robotics backround.. this build as she has put it as i dragged it home with her was , I want to build something that directly benefit's me for a change.lol

 

it should be interesting she turns 16 in 3 weeks and wanted a project the "directly benefits me" as she put it. she will have this a her senior year car before heading to college for engineering . we have been watching mod mini for a while not so thats good
