Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this...I had a few issues over the weekend I was forced to deal with.
Currently I'm unsure how Team MCO will move forward as I have made the decision to take the next couple of years off from Solo 2 and spend more time with my kids (especially when they are out of school). The interesting thing is that while I may not be participating I want to find a way to support it. For this coming season I would like to develop some form of contingency program to support MINI competitors. I've just begun to think about it so I hope to have some type of plan in place by mid-February/early March.
As for the Team MCO site, I was doing so much development work on the car (dealing with brake strangeness, getting the car to handle like we wanted...not sure we ever got it there, etc.) that I spent what felt like all summer under the car and wasn't able to keep the site updated. Given this I doubt that the site event results will be updated but I do intend to publish the information we gathered in working on the car (seats, harnesses, LSD, suspension, etc.).
As for how the season turned out I had one 1000 point day in the rain at one of our local events, I finished 2nd and Mason 3rd overall in the Rocky Mountain Region, and came in mid-pack at Nationals. We attended the Wendover and Topeka Pro Solos as well as the Pro Finale and Nationals. In total I spent more than 10 days in Topeka Kansas this year...YIKES! One of the things I did learn this year is that I REALLY like Pro Solo events. A little different format but lots of opportunity to get your runs fixed and the christmas tree launches definitely adds a different level of tension to your run. I hope to be able to do some more of these somewhere down the road.
Look for more information on our programs relative to Solo 2 soon!
