Hello Everyone!
Just acquired a red 2005 Mini Cooper S (R53)....and I have to say, loving it. Very comfortable ride with style, the power to weight ratio makes it feel like it has a lot more to it than what it is, just a great car all around. I've been reading up a lot on the information here and I much appreciate everyone's wisdom / knowledge, great work. Can't wait to get more involved with the community, hope everyone is being safe with the times, thanks again for letting me join.
Welcome to NAM.! I’ve always liked how the R53 headlights look up into the skies when the bonnet is open. There’s something very spiritual about it, especially when a group of R53’s do it at the same time. Enjoy your new ride!
Thank you for the welcomes, I just moved to NJ not too long ago, still learning the area, but I'm in Mt Arlington. Been learning a lot here so far, have some ideas of what I'm going to do, but a question for you guys / gals...knowing what you know now about the car, is there anything you would you tell your younger self to do first or be aware of?
Little more information on the car:
- Heated Seats
- Bluetooth
- DSPM (H/K Sound System)
Thank you all again! Can't wait to start working on the car, not going to be going for the crazy performance, but a nice reliable daily driver with some added power.
Hi and welcome to NAM!
Congrats on your red R53, it looks very nice.
Lots of help in the gen 1 area for your model. Read a bit before deciding what to fix/modify first, as there is seriously good info, for you, in that section!
