Joined up on the site a week ago...bought my first mini an hour ago

After some laborious autotrader/craigslist/cars.com searches, found my solution => 06 MC, 5spd, 19K miles (11 months warranty left), in quite newish condition for $15.5K.
The warranty, premium & sport pkgs and overall condition mandated i not walk away from this car...so with no other option, i was forced to buy

I will proceed forward to have fun, investigate accessories, and ponder an extended warranty.

...now about the pondering of the extended warranty...what does the collective Borg thing about that...mine is an 06, 19.8K miles, warranty until December of this year...VIN check today at dealer reveals just regular maint work done to date...place i bought it from says approx 1500 bucks gets me an add'l 4 yrs...thoughts? Oh, i have the 5spd, not the automatic...and the base, not the S.

(also, do the Mini dealers look kindly or act gruffly when one presents a non Mini extended warranty? IE from an independent company)
