Hello everyone, I’m ordering my first Mini today and am really ecstatic. Here’s the Build I put together.

Blazin Red 2 Door Cooper - Manual (I was torn between the auto as I live downtown, but didn’t think it was worth spending $1200 more for the convenience factor)

Build price is $24,810.00 and the dealer is giving it to me at 23,000$ which I felt pretty good about.

The only 2 options I didn’t get that I wanted was the upgraded sound system, but just didn’t feel like I could justify another $750. And I really wanted Chili Red, but wasn't interested in the JVW exterior package/

I also haven’t sat in the sport seats yet, but I just love the double stripe cloth seats too much not to order them. That’s the main reason I got the JVW interior package. I'm pretty sure I'll like them, and worst case if they are horrible to sit in, I'm sure I could sell them and buy the stock seats and not lose out too much.

Once its finally here I plan to add Mini courtesy lights and possibly the JCW infotainment trim

At 120$ though it feels a bit steep. I like the idea of it, but it looks a bit cartoony as well.

Also, I live in south texas and don’t have a garage. So the mini will be exposed to a lot of harsh sun. Is a car cover worth getting just to protect it from UV light? Id use it when the car was at home. I’ve read some other posts here that car covers can do more damage than good, especially if the car is not clean.

I finalized the order this evening, but not before I added on the upgraded sound system. I figure it'll help resale value down the road and I'll enjoy the car a lot more in the mean time Now the countdown begins!

 

It's a seriously nice sound system. You get subs under each front seat. I don't think you'll be disappointed in it.

 

Congrats, looks like a nice build. I am counting down as well. I don't know what time frame your dealer gave you, but I ordered my car on 4/16, it was "born" on 4/29 and it is sitting in South Hampton waiting to get on the boat (hopefully on 5/9) for its trip across the pond. It is right on schedule to arrive within the 6-8 week time frame that my dealer gave me.

 

Looks like a great build and good catch on the sound system. You will not be dissapointed.

I would not do the cover however I would put that money towards a good detail and coating. If you have a few extra bucks you can even do some xpel up front.

Well my car got to port on July 1st and I picked it up at the dealer this morning. Will post some more pictures soon. I got he mini yours offwhite with the red color line and I'm really happy how it came out. I'd never seen the white in person, but think it looks great with the red.

The dealer forgot my textile floor mats and mirror cover but advised they'd fedex them to me once they got more in. Super excited to get use to driving stick again!

 

A few quick pics. Only surprise is that the infotainment wheel no longer has the touch writing ability. It's been replaced by a push in button. I'm not bothered but found it weird since I'd seen a lot of info about the finger touch button. Also the drivers side visor is still intact for those curious. It's a 2016.
