I'm Mimi and I'm a new Mini owner!

I picked up a pristine R50 a few weeks ago and my bank account has continued to decline ever since, because as you know, modding the car takes on a life of its own. Lol

My love for the Mini naturally started with the first time I saw the movie "The Italian Job." Afterwards, every time i spotted a Mini I would get excited! Being a owner is such a joy and experience! When I first saw one up close and test drove it I was smitten! I love the European design and uniqueness of the car. Someone recently stated it nicely when they described being a Cooper owner is a form of independence!

Now I see more and more of them on the road of course, and the kids point them out to me too. Finding a nice Mini and be an automatic was a challenge but when I saw her, I loved her, instantly!

So enter my lady... Diana!

P.S. I went to London in '11 and there was a gorgeous Mini in the M&M store in Picadilly Circus, I had no idea one day I would actually own one!

And make sure you join one of the local MINI clubs, really adds to the fun of being a MINI owner ! There is C3M, Central Maryland MINI Motorists. And I believe DC Metro MINIs is still active.

 

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. Very nice first post by the way. Driving a MINI is an experience unlike no other. I left work tonight, put the top down on my Roadster and drove home with the stars and moon overhead. It was 61°F out but with a light jacket and the heated seats, it was amazing. You will love your MINI. We would love some pics of it.

To describe my Mini:

Emerald Green, automatic, white stripes (guess that's a given) many miles, pristine condition. I've ordered chrome wings for the doors and a cloth black and white checkered steering wheel cover.

Also in the process of shopping for checkered seat covers, door handle and maybe dash covers.

I really want to put checkered stripes on the exterior bottom side doors, but not sure if it will look professional if I do it. Lol

Yep, I really like that pattern on the Mini.

 

Your color is called British Racing Green. Classic color and very sharp.
