haha, I joined a Mini forum a couple minutes ago... mini2? Right away I realized something was off. What language were these people speaking???? WHERE ARE THE 'MURICANS?? lol just kidding

I picked up an '09 cooper last week. Completely by accident too. Long story short: was looking for a commuter car, was set on this civic, tested a mini in the lot for ***** and grins while I was waiting on the civic to be transferred to the dealership, and was sold right away, haha, within the first mile I think. Reminded me of my old S2000...the whole go kart thing.

No one cares about this stupid story.

Anyway, here's a pic of my mini. I got rid of the run flats. Threw on normal tires and different rims. Ripped out the back seat. store the spare wheel/tire where the back seat used to be. threw in a K&n intake. have an invidia q300 cat-back on the way and I'm pretty sure that's all I care to do to this car.

This is only my commuter...but g'damn my commute is fun now.

Too funny! My shopping accident is almost identical!!! Saturday I headed out to the dealer to buy a Subaru hatchback. I wanted something for commuting, that was AWD but better mileage than my Disco. Trying to be practical and all that. Came back with an 09 MCS, and haven't quit smiling since :D

lol...I can understand. Once the mod bug bites...it's over! Thankfully (or unfortunately) I have my owner, I mean wife, around to not let me spend my own money.

lol! even more identical than you know...I originally set out looking for one of those hatchback suburu imprezas! Love the look and the practicality for my lifestyle. But the surprisingly low gas mileage steered me away.

I'm going to throw a roof rack on this mini so I can transport my mtn bike but it's going to look damnit funny with a huge, 29er on top!

Damn you're Mini sounds sweet from the looks of your sig block! I just had an invidia q300 and a k&n put on. THe invidia doesn't sound as aggressive as I'd hoped...but it looks cool at least. I love how the intake really brought out that turbo sound thingamabob

No one would believe me when I said this car reminded me of my S2000 when I first test drove it. I ended up with a non S and it's still insanely fun.

 

I did the same thing, Cambo. Acura broke down and looking for commuter car. Looked at Hyundai Elantras, but after dealer wouldn't go below sticker, drove by Mini dealer and picked up a 2011 MCS. Don't forget to wave at other owners!
