Pardon me if any of my information is wrong; I'm brand new here and just follow along with the "how to" parts of the site.

When I pick search by ports. What port of orgin are you picking?

I'm not sure I've entirely undertood the past few posts, but Bremerhaven (Germany) is where the Countrymans (and eventually Pacemans) ship from and Southampton (UK) is where the other models ship from. All of the Bremerhaven > NYC schedules I looked at have been stopping in Southampton (and Belgium and Canada) along the way. (And the boat my car is on decided to add Sweden into the mix.)

The Countryman 2012s are still being produced, so a lot of us with recent orders are still on the 2012 thread. Eventually they'll start making the JCW and Pacemans and bring the Austrian production side of things to 2013.

I apologize. I was being Coupe-centered, and their only point of origin is Southampton...Sometimes I forget if I'm in the R58 thread or the "everybody waiting" thread. Sorry about that.

There are lots more links to follow the boat as it's en route. Let us know when you get there and we'll fill you in
Ohhh this is going to be so close. If mine makes it onto the Fedora for that vessel's Sept. 10th departure, it will arrive in Baltimore by the 19th and I will still have it within the time frame originally quoted to me. Otherwise, the long wait continues along with the worst luck in ordering time ever: I placed my order in early August, right about the time the factory shut down for the summer holiday and they didn't start building it for a month. If I miss the Fedora, I likely won't see the vehicle until October -- which would be a real bummer. The last update via the phone bot said it was on its way to the port for transport. Crossing my fingers!

My MA emailed me today. My 2013 Green Park Clubman left UK on Sept 7th and is due to Georgia on the 19th. I kept checking the WW site to no avail so was pleasantly surprised to know the K-line ship is already underway! I guess I should have it at home by end of Sept.

Just curious, when did you place your order? I ordered my GP Clubman on Aug 11, and I don't even have a build date yet.

I ordered on July 13th and got my production number after about 2 weeks, just before the 4 week plant shutdown which ended on Aug 27th. It came out of production on Sept 3rd/

I placed my order on July 20th. Got my production number July 27th. My car just finished production this week and I'm anxiously awaiting a boat...

kwolfman, are you checking for production status with your MA? I've found the Owner's Lounge to be fairly slow with updates. ASK-MINI is a little better but calling my MA directly has been the best source for me.

Good luck. And keep us updated.

Ted.

My car goes into paint and final assembly today, and will be "born" tomorrow!
Ok, I'm getting excited now

I usually check the OL first then ASK-MINI. I have tried getting status from my MA but he hasn't been very responsive. Personally I find it unbelievable that the status can't up-to-the-minute accurate from all access points. Computers are interconnected now and databases update on the fly. My MA and I have been marveling at how antiquated the MINI (and BMW) ordering systems are. They look like they were built 20-30 years ago for a DOS based system. BMW is a multi-billion euro company and they can't hire a decent programmer?

So far my status is still "Scheduled for Production but no date yet". It is very frustrating when people who ordered after me are having their cars shipped already. Apparently my problem is that my MA or his manager used a dealer stock order slot for my order but forgot to change the order priority to "1 -Sold Vehicle", it has been priority "3 -Priority Stock" for the past month. I think I'm now at the back of the Sold Vehicle queue. I'm guessing the MINI ordering system can't handle a change like this so it's as if I ordered for the first time last week, when we changed the priority.

If I'm sounding a little bitter, well I am!

I would just stick to ASK-MINI, it's a little behind the info an MA can get, but the OL is pretty much always a day behind that and has less statuses it can tell you.

I want to apologize to all the readers of this thread. I guess I've been a bit of a buzz-kill for all of those who are excited about their impending deliveries. I let my frustrations with my order show through too much.

Congratulations and Happy Motoring to all those with MINIs on the way! I will hopefully be joining you soon. Hello MINI scheduling...are you listening?

My S Coupe is sitting at the port waiting for a ship. It just missed the ship that left on the 10th apparently. Any of you guys on that ship?

Don't worry I think we all understand the frustration. It has been a long August for most of us. Hope yours joins the rest of ours soon.

Day 2 in the paint shop. Scheduled to be done tomorrow. With any luck she will be getting on the K-Line ship on Friday...Athens Highway.

“Your vehicle was released to a carrier, and is awaiting transportation to the port of exit.” I hope I get on Toronto which is scheduled to arrive on October 1!

Same here. Apparently my S just missed the boat. So unfair. That adds 8 days to the wait.

5am (US eastern) on predicted day: production complete. Waiting to be released to carrier. (I presume the carrier is the truck that takes it to the port.) It's got 2 full days to get itself onto the Athens Highway. Go MINI go!
