Grey, yeah, the wait is harder... I just keep telling myself that work will make these couple of days go quickly and that the 3M clear bra that will be installed on Thursday works best when the car hasn't been driven!

 

I took a vacation day when I went to pick up my car; I couldn't sleep a wink the night before so I knew I'd be worthless if I didn't get it!

 

Ordered Justa on 7/30--black, satellite gray int & color line, xenon, fog front and rear, white racing stripes. Just found out today from MA that it is scheduled for prod first wk of Sept, with delivery date on 2nd wk of Oct (estimated by MA). Problem is that current car is a lease and has to be turned in by Oct 9. Should I just hang on and wait out the process or can I try to get prod moved up? Can't be without a car even for a few days. Thanks

 

Alright I'm down to the final stretch. My MA just texted me and said my car will be in tonight or tomorrow. He has the extra goodies set up to be done as well. Soooo, if everything goes as planned I should have my new Baby by the end of next week!

Well here it is the first crappy cell phone pic when I picked my MINI up on Monday night. Try and get better pics later and figure out my sig too but just having to much fun driving for now. Congrats to all the new owners and I hope the wait goes by quickly for those still waiting.

 

Sky - Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get a preview pic. My MA is in FLA for an annual MINI training/good will event. I'll make sure I post a pic as soon as I can after I pick him up!

I ordered my third MINI last week (had a 2002 MCS, currently in a 2005 MCS cabrio), a 2013 MCS hard top in Spice Orange. My advisor told me it was almost certainly going to "Scheduled for Production" within 48 hours as it was near the top of their order queue but then..... the Oxford factory shut down for its annual 3 week recess

So now I have to wait 3 weeks before there is even a chance of seeing the status change.

Anyway, it's good to be excited again about getting a MINI.

I know the feeling. I ordered on July 27th--the day the factory closed. My car (MCS Coupe) changed to "Ordered or Scheduled for Production with no confirmed production date about a week after I ordered it. It's so hard knowing that there will still be a while until the car can move forward.

 

does anyone know when the 2013 JCW's will show up on the builder?

 

Got the call! Jeeves is in... going to the dealer (65 miles away) tomorrow to finalize all the paperwork and trade the Jeep in. Still have some bits to be added. Dealer is giving me a loaner until he's ready!

 

Well I just joined the ranks of those waiting for a 2013 Clubman. I ordered mine on 8/11. It kills me knowing nothing will happen until at least the 28th when the Oxford plant gets back to work. I just hope mine is not the first car built when the crew gets back (probably no chance of that anyhow.)
My First MINI! My other car is a 2004 Mazda RX8 I preordered in 2003. Both cars handle wonderfully.

 

Not going to lie... The wait is tough, but you get YOUR exact car you want. By the way how did you like the RX8? Had a RX7 GTU back in the day... One of the best handling cars I've ever driven.

Dealer called earlier with one issue - the 3M clear bra installer ordered a kit for the regular S bumper and I have the JCW aero kit. Since I'm picking it up in another state, I have to stay here an extra day to have them finish the install on Saturday morning.

 

Congrats to everyone bringing home their new babies! I'm going to break 800 miles tomorrow and it's not even a week yet. :x

 

I still have my RX8. Only 26K original miles. I'll never part with it. The only reason I don't drive it everyday is the DC traffic I drive in. A clutch gets pretty old after a short time. The Clubman is automatic, but with paddle shifters for those "fun" times.
I had a 1981 RX7 (bought new) for 21 years before the 8.

 

Well, i went into my dealer on Monday night to check my order status (on the way home ) and the Reginal Sales Manager had just turned his car in to have it put up for sale and one thing led to another and bamo

 

Just bought new 2013 s conv, cold pkg, sport pkg 16 miles on it red color.

 

We're still waiting for BrytasBlu (2013 Cooper S Bayswater) ordered at end of July. The automated system on ASKMINI says Sept. 4 for completion. I'm hoping it's sooner. I talked with a person from ASKMINI on August 3 and he said our Mini was in the body shop. Waiting sucks. I attached image of a 2012 in the showroom. We opted for the tech package, auto trans, convience, cold weather, xeon headlamps, auto headlamp washers.

Well, went and finalized my paperwork and trade in my jeep. Got alot more than I expected for the jeep so I added the extended warranty and maintenance program! Have a Justa for a loaner until mine is done. I've got to say the manual is fun and I'm surprised at the get up and go of the base motor.
