I was able to get into the OL the day after I placed the order. However, mine was a "dealer order" that was already in the system, they just changed the details (colour, packages etc) to match my requirements. So maybe that's why I didn't have to wait? The production number was already in line.

Poor advisor told me "definitely in production within 48 hours", something he regrets I am sure

 

I ordered the 1st of August. I was able to register since it appears that my order was accept and a production number given. Maybe the shut down effected some of the later orders. No movement on the status on line. I talked to ASK MINI yesterday and they believed that I may very well have gone into production. That they are at least 24 hours behind the factory.

 

I placed my order through my credit union on 7/20/12. Got my order number on 7/27/12. And apparently my car went into production on 8/28/12. Wish I'd known about the 'European Holiday schedule'.

I guess a few of us will be sharing a boat across the pond shortly. Mine just has to travel all the way to the west coast. Darnit!

So the factory is churning out MINIs 24hrs a day? Are they there 7 days a week too? If that is the case, wow.

 

I placed my order 8-21 and my MA emailed the production number to me on 8-23. As of this post, every time I try to register, the site cutely tells me I'm "pretty quick on the draw" and that my order is not yet in the database.

 

Yes, I've had 3 weeks of this cuteness now. It's not as cute as it was the first time...

 

Just heard from my MA today. He told me my car went into production on 8/29. I ordered my car on 8/3. Hopefully things progress quickly from here.


Waiting for: 2013 MCS Eclipse Gray/Eclipse Gray, chrome line exterior package, cold weather package, Mini Connected, rear fog lights and more.

 

Ordered August 3rd...Owners Lounge still shows an old status from the last person in my "slot" from my dealer (their 2008 MCS is awaiting them at the dealer, apparently) ASK MINI robot says I'm in Production with no date, human says I'm in the "daily production schedule". Just like back in Junior High, I can't wait to get a date from SOMEBODY!

Thanks! I just went with 35% all around. I debated going darker but 35 is legal here so I thought I'd obey the law. I figure as hard as it is to keep my foot out of the gas I didn't need another reason to be pulled over.

 

Not to be a pain, but I just checked Tennessee window tint laws. Yes, 35% is the minimum combined window and tint transmission allowed. However if you installed 35% tint and the I believe the MINI windows have a natural 70% tint, then you actually have 35% X 70% or 24.5% combined tint. You really need to install 50% tint so that 50% X 70% = 35% total transmission.

I'm aware of this because I'm in Maryland and we have the same rule. I've heard they sometimes enforce the rule.

 

We don't have a problem with the 35% rule here. As long as you don't go any darker than 35% film all the tint shops can apply a "legal" sticker to your tint. I guess since it is hot here in the summer we really don't have problems with it.

Actually a lot of people around here have way darker than legal and never get hassled. I guess that's a "perk" of living in a hot climate during the summer.

 

Looks like I'm officially in week 36!! I ordered a 2013 JCW Roadster (nicely loaded)! Lugnut is scheduled to be completed on 9/5. I'm so excited!!

When checking the owner's lounge with the production number, I find that we have a 2008 MCS in Pepper White waiting for us at the dealer.

I ordered a 2013 Cooper S Roadster, Pepper White on 8/25. Got my Production number on 8/27. So now the waiting begins.

This will be my first mini and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I have spent the last few weeks reading as much as I can on the forums. I hope it doesn't take the whole 8 weeks.

Just needing to let off some steam, ordered my 2013 justa hyde park special addition 34 days ago. Almost 5 weeks in and I am still on order with no production date yet scheduled. i was so hopin to have her for my big 50 birthday coming up mid October. I have been trying to be patient, I know they were closed, but I need to see some progress here soon.

Just curious those who also ordered on or around the 1st of August what are the first 4 of your production number? mine are 6701.

 

So, I called ASK-MINI just now and the robot told me my Clubman is in production and due to complete on Friday! After a month of waiting for the plant to start up again, finally a date! (Owners Lounge still hasn't updated yet - go figure)

I'm 3986XXX but it's a recycled number from my dealer - Owners Lounge shows it was last used for a 2008 MCS that some happy camper picked up at my dealer back then...

 

i called this morning and still waiting for a production date. Couldn't talk to a live person because of the holiday.

No it does not appear that there is a corilation with production numbers.

 

Welll...3987 and 3986 do seem to be related

 

but 6701 is so far off from those, it may be that the 398XXXX is the S since mine is a justa. Yes I also got a dealer slot when I ordered. Hopefully some movement soon.
