My ship gets in Fri Sep 28 and my MA told me it'd be ready for pickup by Mon 1st or Tue 2nd. It's coming into Baltimore and I live in Baltimore--but I think there's a port in Charleston too, right? You will probably have a similar timeframe?

Its got to be close to the same time frame. My understanding is the car is waiting on the Topeka going to Brunswick, GA. Then its going to Greer, SC to be sent to Charleston. I don't know though. My MA hasn't exactly been "attentive" when it comes to status updates and information. Funny thing is I'm the exact same distance from Brunswick as I am from Greer.

 

I thought I would post for anyone with a car on the W&W Tombarra its 60nm off the coast of Charleston right now headed for Brunswick.

I'm really happy for all the MINI's that are in transit to their new homes but I'm so frustrated seeing some that were born after mine and I'm still waiting for a vessel. I never thought I could be so obsessed as I am over this car. My youngest laughs and says she really doesn't understand why I am. When I finally asked her about how she was with getting her I-Phone, I think it clicked. :0)

 

Nice analogy. My MINI is in the middle of the Atlantic heading for the Panama Canal and I'm waiting for Bust Buy to come up with my preordered iPhone.

64GB Black Verizon iPhone. As of yesterday, the store I ordered from hadn't gotten any Verizon models. :( on the plus side, I was one of the first ten preorders at that store so it should not be too long.

My Green Park Mini S is on the W&W Toronto which is currently entering port in Halifax - due in Jersey City on the 26th.

In anticipation I went ahead and bought the iPod touch 32Gb currently on sale at Best Buy (making way for the newer IOS versions). I plan to do a wireless tether to my Android (Galaxy S3) to take full advantage of the Mini Connected system.

 

I have read that set of instructions that tell you how to do that and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what advantages I would get by doing the same thing (I have a Galaxy Nexus) vs. just going with Bluetooth directly from my Android phone. What do you actually lose if you do not use an iDevice somewhere in the chain?

The way I understand it, you the ability to use the MINI app suite such as Foursquare, driving analyzer, etc - a well-rated app actually. Also album artwork doesn't show up when playing tunes. Other than that, I had no trouble streaming Pandora through Bluetooth at the dealership when I was exploring how Connected would/could work with Android. Really, stuff like Twitter and Facebook I could care less about while driving; most of Connected functionality does not require i-anything.

No I am not. Actually I really think I am. Has to be there have been 5 ships that have left since I got to port and I'm not on any of them. I think she would be getting off in SC, my previous mini was purchased via the same MA and it came in at SC. So hopefully we will know something later this week. I really want her before my birthday since she is my gift. And it is a milestone birthday.
