Just got word my MCSa is supposed to be completed 7/24. Looks like the WW Don Juan is scheduled to leave 7/28 from Southhampton, or the K-Line Athens Highway on 7/27. Think I have a chance of making these boats?

 

I'm starting to think mine might be headed for a k-line vessel. It's been at a port for a few days now and doesn't show up in the WW system. They seem to list other VINs while they're waiting for a vessel, but I'm not sure how long it takes for them to show up.

WOOHOO My car says customs release and liner release on the WW website does that mean its off the boat?

Yes I believe it means it has made it thru customs and released from liner (Boat). Mine was released at 1:09 PM.

 

Note quite. Customs release does not mean the car is off the ship. I'm assuming they send the paperwork through earlier to help get them through faster.

Mine was released for customs 2 days before it actually hit the port.

 

Oh no, you might be right. Mine was release from the boat at the exact same time, but checking on the 2012 forum, some are seeing DISCHARGED and DELIVERED in their status so we might have more waiting to do. The VDC is closed for the day at this point too....

 

LOL, scratch that. Mine's off the boat...at least it better be, the Turandot just pulled out of the harbor.

 

Is anyone on the Tomar headed to the West Coast? I believe it just left Southhampton yesterday, but my CM S boarded back at Bremerhaven. I need some stalkin' buddies.

 

My MA called at 5:00 and not only is it off the boat but is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer tomorrow!!!. Will pick her up tomorrow or Monday.

According to marinetraffic the Turandot left the mini VDC and moved to a different mooring. It must carry other cars as well as mini's

Edgar finished up his quality check this morning and is just waiting for the train to take him to the dock. Now I'm really going to be biting my nails that he gets on the boats leaving the 22nd or 23rd!

Time to breathe and think happy thoughts.

 

Every instance is different Andrew, but mine completed on Friday and made it to the docks on Sunday.

Ugh, my MA (Princeton) said it usually takes them 2-3 days to get the car from the VDC and since they are closed on Sunday and I'm going away on business early next week may not get the car until next Wed. So close, yet so far away...

 

Who will be first to post pictures of his/her new 2013 MINI?



Looks like Florida Highway might be pulling into Baltimore on 7/22 instead of 7/23. So, anyone getting their car from that port & ship?

 

I've just been informed that my MINI has been sent to the port to wait for a boat. I guess he's "sittin' on the dock of the bay...watching the tide roll away"! I just hope he doesn't watch the tide for too long! Now I wait until I can find out what boat he's on.

How long before you can track your VIN# to the boat?

 

GreyNation and Andrew_C, I think my car must have left the factory around the same time as yours... I was getting a status of 'Transported to port of exit' this morning from the automated status at 866-ASK-MINI.

Were you getting your info from any other sources? I've had no luck with the live reps during this entire build process... for some reason they seem more clueless than during my last build 7 years ago.

I'm really hoping that the car hits the Tampa on the 22nd or the Integrity on the 23rd.

 

My MA doesn't have an ETA yet, she said hopefully tomorrow. Knowing it is so close makes the wait even harder!!!

 

I got that info from 866-ASK-MINI. The online for mine is behind. Some reps are better than others, so try and call again. Hopefully we all get on a boat soon!
