Congrats!!!!!!!!

I am really hoping mine is on a truck headed south from GA into FL as we speak. Tomorrow is my birthday and having MINE in the driveway would be awesome!

 

Picking mine up from the dealer as soon as I can get out of work. Will post pics tonite.

 

Shot off an e-mail to my salesman this morning when I read that the 2013s had been "released to carrier". His response was not what I'd hoped for;
I cannot speed up or slow down the process. *My system said it has not been released. *I will let you know as soon as I know when I'll have it.

 

Will be picking mine up at 4:00PM.

 

GAH!!!!! I just got an email from my dealer and he told me:
"So it looks like you are correct about EPA delay of 2013s. We believe that the release date will be somewhere around the 20th of August. They are releasing both sold and unsold 2013 at the same time."

I called him and asked very nicely, WTF?!? 20 more days?!?! I also asked if I could get a loaner since I sold my car 2 weeks ago and am without a car. A huge inconvenience for me based on the delivery timeframe I was given and no confirmation of any delay until after the estimated delivery date had passed. Now I log on and see that jkapinos is picking his up tonight?!?! My dealer called back and said he is trying to work something out for me and I let him know that other people are getting their 2013s today. He said he's seeing what he can do and will call back with updates. I am beyond upset. I'm physically shaking from this stress and anxiety.

 

That is the same type of BS messages I have gotten from my salesman. For all of the mini mystic, the sales folks are just sales folks

 

My MA called and said my car should be at their dealership either today or tomorrow, but their GM suggested not setting up an appointment until the car was actually on the lot

 

So I would react the same way, however I'd give them just a little bit more time to come up to speed. If there is one less to be learned in this thread, its that the MAs don't know jack. If they don't give you an acceptable answer within a day I'd call the GM.

 

Congrats to everyone picking up thier babies!!!! It gives the rest of us hope.

My MA informed me that my vehicle has been released to the carrier. The dealership is about 35 miles from the vehicle distribution center. My MA gave the same caveats -- usually arrives same day but could be tomorrow or next.

My car still shows as "At the VDC" on the Mini Owners Lounge and the AskMini hotline says it's "At the port awaiting a vehicle shipping vessel". I'm guessing the production order numbers are recycled? Or is my car being sent back or something wonky? Why meeeeeeeee!?!?

 

Makes no sense, but those two systems never seem to be in sync. Hopefully you'll luck out like I did. Mini of Pittsburgh told me it typically takes 7-10 days to get here from the VDC. Mine arrived on a Wednesday and arrived at the dealership Friday evening. Hopefully you'll be as lucky!

 

Mine hit the port of Baltimore last Thursday, it was there when I checked at 6:30am. Mini of Pgh told me 7-10 days when I called them on Friday. Today they just told me 21 more days:< I'm freakin out

 

Just heard from my MA. My car arrived at the dealer today! They don't have the paperwork yet, so probably Saturday or next Monday pick up.

 

Stopped by the dealer. The new data (rec'd at 4:00 pm) now shows my car has been released to carrier, what that means????

Salesman says it could be any time from Thursday on. His regional manager was in yesterday and when asked specifically about my car he answered "next week". We'll see.

My estimated delivery is now Aug 13th it was blank earlier so that makes me feel better. I am glad the info I got yesterday was accurate. Just hang on it's so hard but you can see light at the end of the tunnel.
