Meet Veruca, my new Coupe

This is my first MINI but I'm not new to the MINI world. My wife bought a 06 Justa new so I've had a few years of play. I've gone back and forth on buying my own for a long time. I almost bought an R53 several times but never pulled the trigger. They just had too many seats!

When I saw the Coupe I was sold. It was perfect timing since I wanted to get rid of my old car within a few months. I played around with my configuration for a few weeks and then ordered one with tons of bells and whistles. Picked her up on Wednesday afternoon and have been smiling ever since.

I added a stubby antenna, will be tinting the windows, and maybe changing the wheels since the ones I actually wanted were out of stock. Other than that I'm going to do my best to not mod. I spent WAY too much time modding my last car and I want to just take a break.

This car is fantastic. Can't wait to put some good miles on her this weekend. Oh, and her name is Veruca because I did not have an easy time waiting for her to be built and shipped - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRTkCHE1sS4

Haha, I do! Lots of looks and stares already. Austin is a very heavy MINI town but I've only ever seen one other Coupe on the road since they were released. Mine has already gotten a lot of eyeballs on it in the past few days.

Thanks everyone. Still loving it. Looks like I'll be switching to the Breyton GTS-R Minis in Silver. I originally wanted the Challenge Spoke wheels but they were on hold. I think I might actually the Breytons better. Then I tint the windows and sit back and enjoy even more!

Breytons will look great. They're also like 6 pounds lighter per wheel than the Challenge Spokes. Did they say why the Challenges were on hold, or when they expected more? My MA originally told us we couldn't get them either, but then reneged... so not sure what to expect when the car actually gets here. I've been shopping for wheels too just in case...

@Schtuffy Yeah, one big reason for the Breytons is their lower weight. My last car had 15.2 lbs 17" wheels and you could really feel the difference.

The dealer never told me why the Challenge Spokes were unavailable but I think they were just low on stock. You could still get them if you ordered a JCW car but not with the JCW package. The web spoke were my 2nd choice but they were completely out of stock at the time. I think the Breytons are going to work even better than my first two choices.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. MA probably confused factory JCW and JCW package.

Thanks. I think so too. When I first saw the Coupe I was thinking black because I typically like black cars. However, in person it didn't quite look right. The LB and silver looks perfect to me. Best color combo on the Coupe IMHO.

And Breytons have been ordered. I did a little photoshop to hold me over until they arrive:
