New JCW owner

Hey guys, I wanted to introduce myself. I ordered a JCW hardtop on November 7th and have been attempting to track its progress since. My production number kept coming up as a 2008 Pepper white convertible until I called my MA on Tuesday and found out it is due to hit American shores on December 21st! I thought it wasn't even under production yet! Can't wait to pick it up. BTW it is pepper white with a red roof. Stoked to be a fellow Mini owner. I will miss my Cobalt SS, but the JCW will make me forget about it soon enough.

I live in Orlando, but went to Palm Harbor to order the car, they were friendlier to deal with than Orlando Mini imho.

I did a similar thing....live in Phoenix area but bought the car from southern California. Didn't really like the dealer closest to me.
What kind of interior did you go with?

I went with the regular black leatherette. I wanted to switch it to the JCW cloth, but when I called to switch it my MA said it was already under production, then he called me back the next day and said it was on a boat already. I don't mind though, I liked them both.

Congrats on the sweet ride. But, what's up with this:

How'd you order a new 4 year old car to be built?

Congrats. Post pics when it arrives.

The leatherette is quite nice, especially in Sport Seat form as they have a nicer look to the side bolsters compared to the regular leatherette seats.

Congrats! Sounds like it will look great, I love that color combo. And I agree, Palm Harbor MA's are great to deal with, although I have never bought from there, I know two of them from going to club meets. Speaking of that, check out Sunshine MINIs if you haven't already!

I figured that my car hadn't begun production yet; I thought that they reused production numbers after a while, so I was under the impression that it would change when my car began being built. I was happily surprised to hear that it was on a boat already, when I thought it hadn't even been started. It still says a 2008 convertible right now
