**New** First Mini 2009 Clubman

This is my first post and my first mini. I picked up the 09' Clubman for a little extra space. Love it!! I'm thinking of my next one already ~ Mini Cooper S.

So tell me what I should do to my new Mini to "mod" it? Any fellow Michigan motorers?

My suggestions:
1. Change out the brake pads to a less dust producting type.

2. Consider adding front and back mudflaps...while many consider them more show than having any utility, I think they look cool on a Clubby!

Get a gominigo "no holes" front license plate bracket.

Welcome
A rear swaybar is a great first mod, or the NM torque arm bushing is awesome for the R56.

Welcome, mods are always a real blast in trying to decide where to start. There is no limit to the choices only the depth of your pockets.

As a very proud owner of an '09 JCW Clubman, and very much a new person here, I also say, welcome.

I've been scouring sites and catalogues -
I have put on mud flaps, front and rear. Now am seeking the magnetic stone guards. I have the Chili Red paint pen. I've got a variety of new brushes, cleaners, dusters to care for my boy.

Am getting the clear plastic light protectors - they supposedly stop a 1" rock at 120mph. Hoping they are a good investment.

Also, looking for a rear seat delete that fits a Clubman as I have 3 big girls who may occasionally ride. Also a boot protector - it's a bugger to vac out puppy hair!

And looking for good seat covers - I had to cut the ones I put in for the air bags. Do not see much available in color/style - I want dragons!

Let's see... also looking at glovebox organizer, and installation of the armrest.

And definitely ordering the wheel dust covers! That brake dust is already taking a toll!

And I've learned to always tighten the valve stem caps whenever I wash Rupert. I've lost 2 so far and have an extra set on hand.

I'd like to have a set of the magnetic stripes - just for mood changes, but haven't found them yet for the Clubman.

So, while some of this isn't exactly "modification", they are the things I am doing first and foremost.

I'm located in SC Wisconsin - and Rupert is tucked in the barn until the salt and snowbanks are gone. I am ordering a set of winter rims/tires for next season. Right now, I just don't trust others to see or respect my Rupert. Although... yesterday I did sneak him out for a romp around the block. I drove slow and careful at first, checking for snow and ice patches... and then, I pressed that "sport" button... and Rupert and I were off. He really needed that!

Annette
