Yes, yes pics. We LOVE pics!!!
I am the one who got up at 7 am this morning and washed the car. His is dirty . So of course, he is using mine . I did find one paint flaw on the white top--a spot of light gray about 1/2" in diameter--weird. Looks like someone tried to spot-paint to match with the wrong color. Anyway, I contacted my MA and he told me to take a photo and email it to him to document, since I do not plan on going back to Sacramento until around September.

Thanks for the comments all! I love all of our Mini's because they are all so different but so alike at the same time. It's really fun to see how everyone chose to package their cars!

After posting here, I took Turtle on a drive on the 5 to Laguna Beach and drove PCH down to Seal Beach. Really nice and scenic but too much traffic. Now, I'm just sitting here trying to figure out all the cool things that we can do with our cars!

Will have to check the windshield fluid thing! So if I dont use it it won't drip?

Heh I bought my Turtle from South Bay. That's where you bought yours from right? My MA is Chris and I actually mentioned your posts and he said he knew who I was talking about. I live in Cerritos.

Very Nice photos . I need to learn to do that. Took me awhile, but got some of my personal settings done tonight--daylight running lights, automatic door locking when taking off and set for 3 blinks on lane change. Also put a good coat of carnuba wax on her as well. Think I will go to sleep now......

Not necessarily. I think they are more likely to weep when it gets hot out but noticed my new car's rear jet had weeped before I picked her up Friday but it was only 70 degrees out.

I thought I recognized the dealership in your photos!!! Yep, I was there Fri around noon until 2. I saw him that day but didn't have a chance to talk to him much. Chris is a very nice guy and very knowledgeable. He has spent time with me talking MINIs when Amanda wasn't in and even took me on a test drive a while back.

Haha thought you would recognize it. Yeah he's been a great person to work with. Always has the time to shoot the breeze and BS with me a little bit.

Cool.

Have you considered joining a MINI car club? I joined SCMM.org. It's pretty low-key and they have some pretty cool get-togethers throughout the year.

Love everyones pictures. Great looking cars.
Today we took a 11 hour road trip (345 miles). Had see how everything works. We are loving the navigation system along with the iphone set-up. The leather seats are really comfortable (they have to be for that long of a ride). We had some nice weather, we logged 4 1/2 hours with the top down. Got our first mini wave on the way down the mountain. This car is awesome!!!!

Hope you're enjoying the ride, that convertible needs some sun shine, and we might actually have some of that today in the Bay Area

Thanks,

We went for about an 9 hour drive up to the Sierra foothills above Sacramento and back ...found plenty of sun and enjoyed lots of top down motoring...

Hey CT. On both of mine it stops spinning (tightens). Can yours simply be pulled out? Wierd...

Does your radio reception sound OK? Sounds like you've got something to show your service person the next time you're in.

It sounds OK, i mean I did listen to a station all the way down to the dealer in my fathers car (09 Lexus GS) and we got the station from my house way down to the dealer but i tried the station at the dealer in my car and go nothing but static....BUT at that point my car was inside the dealer so the building might have been blocking reception it is all steel and concrete.

As soon as i left the dealer it was my New Mini playlist on the iPod so I wouldnt know outside of the dealership, but in the city its fine i can hear it with no static.

Sigh I think my passenger side one dripped sometime yesterday and might've taken a little spot of the clear coat out. The drivers side also dripped a little bit but doesn't seem like it did much damage. I have NOT used the windshield washers. Is there one of the back too that drips? It's really hard to see on the PW body color, but at the right angle, I can tell there is a spot with a little dip in the clear.

SteelersFan - I haven't looked into the whole car group thing just yet. I used to be a part of an Acura group but found that I just didn't have as much time as I would've liked to do the car meets and stuff. Maybe though. I've lurked on the scmm boards for a while now though.

I believe the cargo net was free. Bought the upgraded carpet mats--very nice (equal to BMW quality). The cargo mat is neat--will keep things from sliding around and rubbing against the sides. Boy these cars sure have a lot of nooks and crannies--kept dripping for hours after I hand-washed it. My husband says he uses his power blower to blow out the excess water. Maybe a shop vac on blow would work as well. I am thinking about either draining the windshield washers for the summer or maybe just changing them out to water. Straight water would not hurt the paint. So far, no issues, but you never know..... .

Nozzles

My MA told me to be careful to not fill the windshield washer tank full as it would make the nozzles drip.
