I must have found the right dealer. Ordered on 1/17 (last Saturday), in production yesterday, in the bodyshop today, and scheduled for completion on 1/25.
Hmmm I don't know, that doesn't really give you a whole lot of time to develop a full blown tracking obsession . I really am envious about your ability to track it through the plant...

I've been developing my obsession over the past 7 year. Actually had my deposit in on an '09 JCW last April, but was quite ready to pull the trigger until last week. Fully expected to wait a month or 2 for the car to go into production.
I know you were saying that you heard that 1-866-ask-MINI wouldn't track the CN destination cars. Give it a try, perhaps they changed their policies. Mine is coming out of body and going into paint today.
Thanks Ihoboy, I called ask mini and they gave me BMW Canada's #. They can tell me where my car is!!!
It's still scheduled for production, week 4, but he couldn't tell me when that week ends (this Sunday?)...anyway, it's soon, very soon!
The production week is determined by when it goes into production. The production week for us is 1/18 - 1/24. Mine went into production on 1/20 (hence week 4) and will be completed on 1/25.
By my calculation, a week 4 car could go into production as late as 1/24 and be completed on 1/29.
What port will they be shipping yours to, any idea?

Both my MA and BMW-ca have confirmed that I'm week 4, so it's gotta start rolling through the line by this Saturday.
All Canadian MINIs go to Halifax, NS. I'm out West so mine will take a train ride out here (another week at least!) so I'm looking at it arriving here late Feb to early March.
My wife is right...I'm totally obsessed (if she knew the true depths, I think she'd be jealous!). I know I'll start calling BMW-ca on a daily basis starting next Monday!!!
It looks like we have a pretty small support group. There is actually a sizeable week 4 support group for clubbies, but my hardtop doesn't quite qualify.
Am I in the wrong thread then? Thought it was for all?
This Support Group is open to all Week 4 builds. You'll also find another on the clubbies forum that you can participate in as well, but I'm not an "authorized" participant in that one. I'm certain no one would care, though.
Completed on 1/20 and booked on the Pacific Breeze, departing on Saturday!
With that completion date, your car would probably have gone into production on 1/15, making yours a week 3 build. There's another more active thread for the week 3 support group, but you are welcome to stick around this thread for the fun.
Hello fellow week 4 folks! Placed my order last Saturday, went into production on Monday!! Car slated to be finished with prod on the 26th! Woohoo! Hope that puts me in the right thread? Anyway, glad to find some people going through the same wait as me! This is a great site, btw. My baby is coming to Atlanta, so they said would probably be shipping thru Charleston, perhaps with some of y'alls. I'm anxious to get it, the waiting is tough, but I guess I can't complain about the wait, considering I only waited two days for it to enter production....

You're definitely in the right thread. Welcome!! Demand for MINIs must be way down. A year ago, we'd be waiting months for production, not days. When we start getting reports that cars are completed, I'll post the links to track the shipments (shipping status and ship location) online.
