The Date Is Set

I couldn't stand it and went down to the dealership today and actually saw my car, "Fulburt", unloaded off the transport truck. Man is he a beauty.

It was unloaded with 4 other 740I beemers. I went down the street and saw my MA and he said he would get it checked in as soon as possible. I am having the Invisishield and mud flaps installed on the car.

Good news he called and said Thursday at 1 pm is delivery time.

I'll post up some pics when I get the chance .

Pat

Driving Lamps

Word of caution: any of you who had the driving lamps installed at the port, check them out for tightness. I found ours to be loose and one of the bolts was missing (probably vibrated out). Anything done at the factory looks to be ok.

Ihoboy--Mine are tight, but one is angled out to the side, so I'll have to adjust it.

Pat--so glad yours made it okay!

I've already put about 450 miles on mine!

Way to go Jerry. You'll be past the breakin mileage before you know it.
I can't wait until Thursday. My wife is bringing me to the dealership in her MINI. We'll finally get the two MINI's together for a camera shot at the dealership. I can hardly beleive it. She already has 2500 miles on her car.

The only problem so far are the foglamps getting moisture in them. Repaired under warranty.

I hope my car is troublefree as well.

Fulburt

Here is the newest addition. The car is great. 11 miles when delivered. I only have 22 on it so far. I am detailing it and getting a good coat of wax on it before any real motoring.

I really like and it looks cool along side Dotty. When I get a chance I will post up some pictures of both cars.

Pat

My wife and I with Fulburt. It was a hoot driving 2 MINI's home.

HOLD ON THE WAX!! Wait 30 days for the paint to fully cure. I know the paint has been oven baked, but there are still volatiles that need to leach out.

Thanks everyone.

The car was completed January 29th so I think I have the obligitory 30 days out of the way since the car was built. Even though the car is new I clayed and I have already put two coats of Epic on the car and finished it with some Banana Gloss.

I also washed it the other day and used some of the Hydro on it and boy does it look gooooood. Those products work well.

I found a couple of imperfections in the paint but used some mild polish and my random orbit and took them right out. No swirls in the car at all. I only handwash so the paint should look good for quite sometime.

Unfortunatly I caught some kick butt cold and feel real puny so Fulburt is going to stay put in the garage for a few days. (Only 110 miles so far.)

Figures!!

But I am happy so far not one problem with the car all looks well.

Regards,

Pat

Hi Pat!

Fulbert looks great, that was my second color combo, but here in Vegas, I decided that the lighter colors would work better for me. All the BMW people use Zaino (spelling?) for their wax.
