Finally made it back home from a full day spent picking up my sweet sweet ride and driving it as far as I could in a day! Wow, it's awesome!!! Even with the constraints of break-in driving, it's just the funest thing to drive ever Everyone who is still waiting for yours, it's definitely worth the wait!!

Some pics of my new pride & joy are here (hopefully this link works!):

Ah man, the wait is driving me crazy! My subconscious is totally preoccupied with a Dark Silver/Silver with Silver bonnet striped MCCS. My sleep is now being invaded with the image of the front of the car; I woke up in the middle of the night planning the route of my first drive home! I've got at least another week before it even gets offloaded from the train, then dealer prep, etc...

It's killing me!

I hear ya man. It's killing me as well. The boat is due to be in Cali tomorrow. By the time it gets to Seattle, dealer prep etc. I don't think I will be able to take delivery until Saturday March 7th. I might be able to get it the Thursday before but my MA does not work that day and I would rather wait until the 7th and let him have the fun of delivering the car. He delivered my wifes car as well. But my wifes car sat at the VDC for almost 8 days before it got here. I hope that does no happen this time.

Yiiikkkkesss. That will kill me!!

Be real nice to your wife, and maybe she let you drive her car a couple times to feed the habit until you get the car.

I am. We went to a local coffee shop the other day. My wife and I and about 21 other of our MINI friends. The coffee shop is about 25 miles from home and I got to drive there and back. Plus I got to drive to the MINI dealership the other day, about 10 miles one way, so I am actually in pretty good shape. The problem is it only lasts a day. It's like a drug habit. Once you get a little all you want is more and it wears off quick!!

I just checked the WW site and it seems the Fedora has already arrive in Cali. I hope I am reading that right. If so she is in a day early. Yeee hawww.

Maybe someone else can check it out and see if I am reading that site right.

Pat

According to the WW vessel tracking it doesn't officially arrive until tomorrow. When you trace using the VIN, what does the most recent update line read?

The Fedora is currently 40 miles to the west of Tijuana. http://marinetraffic.com/ais/

Another 120 miles to Port Hueneme!

The WW website under the status Details section says "Liner Release" with a date of 2-24-09, it then also says "Customs Release" with a date of 2-24-09. However under Status Quantity it has nothing.

The dates will probably change once it reaches port or WW updates. It appears that it is scheduled to arrive at 4 am.

Not too much longer.

The ship must be in Port. No changes on the WW website yet. Must be unloading today. The ship is due to depart for Tacoma tomorrow.

So close but yet so far away.

WW is showing that the Fedora has sailed from Port Hueneme so we bid a fond farewell to our transport across the seven seas!

Now how to track Bullseye through the VDC

You can also use the Owner's Lounge. The general status updates lag reality by about 2-3 days but the expected dealer delivery date found under vehicle specifications section is pretty accurate.

I can't find the section "vehicle specifications". I can find Review order detail but this has nothing about delivery date. Where do you find that?

It will appear in the "Review Order Detail" section right under Pickup Dealer. Nothing will show there until the car is released from the VDC.

ZOMG!

My car was on the Fedora, and my MA called me today to say I can pick it up tomorrow!!! <happy dance>

I am up in Northern California, so they must have really pushed to get it sold by end of month. No complaints here. But they better clean the bugs out of his teeth.

Happy days happy days!!

Good for you. Take some pictures if you can drag yourself out of the car for while. I sure would like to see it.

Congratulations!!

I'm hoping I will be able to get mine next weekend. I hope they get it up here quickly.

Regards,

Pat

Has an estimated delivery date appeared yet in your "Review Order Detail" section on the owner's lounge?

Nope and futhermore it does not even show the detail of the order. But that has happened before. I guess my MINI is lost in the system.

Bummer.
