Pat, dvhone,
I feel real bad for you guys.

With the snow on the ground here, we haven't gotten much more time in our new jalopy than you have in yours. .I just can't stand the thought of driving either of our MINIs on salty roads. We'll do that in the 20 year old Acura and the 19 year old GMC pickup. At least we can walk into the garage and watch the 2 MINIs make eyes at each other. We're anticipating a little go-kart in our future .

Thanks you guys, but I don't think mine is really lost or still back at the dock. I was just trying to say that I think that some MINIs can fall through holes in the tracking system, and perhaps PatM's is one.

I belive--until I hear otherwise from my MA--that mine is on a train and hasn't been sitting on the dock these past three weeks, it's just that the BMW-ca computer system that the customer-relations people have access to hasn't been updated...

PatM, if you can get a Nissan off the lot anytime, why not wait until you know for sure what happened to your ghost MINI, unless you really need a car now? I'd kick myself if the car I'd speacial ordered and been waiting for for months suddenly turned up the day after I bought another car that can easily be obtained....

We're not sure yet. How do you determine the sex of a bee?

Well, if you find that Buzz stays at home all day... wanting sex... it's probably a male drone bee.

If you find that Buzz likes flying out of the garage, exploring the neighborhood as often as possible... it's a female bee.

Well, then I have to wait until it warms up and he/she comes out of winter stasis to determine the sex.

Be careful, though... you might open the hive one morning and discover that the bee has mysteriously disappeared.

I'm going to drop by tonight and take a look at it (just to make sure it's mine and not Pat's ) and will probably get it delivered tomorrow!

Good news Jerry.
I just heard from my MA and he heard from the Distrubution center. The car is located. In perfect condiditon with no damage of anykind. They received 2 ships and once and were just backed up. From the time it hit the system, yesterday, it took them just until today to get it on a truck. It will be at my dealership Monday and maybe even Sunday. I am a happy camper. My MA knows I want it perfect so he is going to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I still have a little wait. I anticipate I will take delivery either the 12th or Saturday the 14th.

At least there is an end in sight. The next time I will probably be uploading pictues of Fulburt. Heck I might even let my wifes car Dotty get in the picture. After all my wife did let me drive her car twice.

I'm happy there is an end in sight. That was the worst no knowing.

Yeeeee Hawwwww.

Pat

Pat... Great!!! you're almost there now...
When it comes to check the car at delivery... be picky, but do not forget the obvious: mine had red color line on the dash, passenger door... but it is GREY on the driver door! (if you have the red driver door, IT'S MINE !!!) This is soooooooooo obvious not a sould noticed... well.. I did notice right before leaving the lot... Pit-stop #1 is already scheduled !

Makes you wonder about BMW Quality Assurance/Check....

Chris.

Pat, I'm also happy he's been located and in fine condition. It's been painful to watch your story unfold; from the first one getting separated from your wife's car, then not being right to the delays and disappearance of this one.
My fingers are crossed that your MINI wait is almost over, that you've paid your dues and that your new MINI will have absolutely NO problems!

Well, I went over to the dealer this afternoon and took a quick shot of Bullseye as he sat. He still needs to be detailed, but he sure looks good

It looks like your driving lamps have chrome housings. Ours are black. What's with that? (The one's on our R53 are chrome like yours).

My MA said I had a choice of either black or chrome. Since I have a white roof, I decided to go with the chrome housings.

We weren't offered a choice (lamps added at the port), but I would have selected what we got, so no problem.

I agree, with yellow and black roof, I would have gone with black housings also.

Great Looking Car

Jerry, that baby looks sharp as a tack!! Very nice my friend. I can't go and look at mine once it gets to the dealer.

I'm just going to hold out and wait for the delivery.

It's really funny the things you miss in all the excitement of the delivery. I plan on taking my time and looking it over very well.

It's going to be cool having my wife drive me to pick up the car in her car.

It looks like it is coming together for everyone.

Regards,

Pat

PatM, Great! So glad it was just a hickup...

Mine showed uo too, late Wednesday and I took the day off work today and picked it up! My Dark Silver/Silver Clubman S is parked in my garage right now....love it. Nice sunny day today for pickup too. It was tough, but I took it nice and (mostly) easy. I'll post the pics I took today soon.

It sure is nice to have that nail bitting wait over and done with.

Righto and congratulations. I'm glad your MINI is home safe and sound!!

These next few days are going to be a lifetime. Realize that I still have 5 to 7 days before I can take delivery of Fulburt. Arggggggggg But soon it will be

Regards,

Pat
