Anyone see where the Pacific Breeze went? I'm guessing it docked but looks all but disappeared to me

 

It doesn't look like Port Hueneme has AIS coverage... at least not coverage that's open to the public.

Last I saw before going to bed, it was just off the east coast of San Clemente Island.

 

The WW shipping site is showing customs cleared and unloaded from the vessel!

 

Got word this evening that my MINI is due in Denver on Feb. 26th. Probably be a few more days until I can make the flight to Colorado, but good news, nonetheless.

 

My MA has been telling me the 25th in Albuquerque.. got hotels booked for the 27th, so hopefully he's right

 

Anyone's Miniusa.com tracker show updated and not showing "en route" anymore? Mine is still showing it's on the boat and not at the VDC yet. I'm hoping its getting on a truck in a day or two...

 

Nope - it says en route still...although 866-ASKMINI is saying it's at the port. I think the website lags a day or so behind...

 

The website lags way behind. My car was actually at the dealer before the OL was updated. Your MA will be the best source of information at this point. For me even ASK MINI was delayed at this point in the process. Hang in there, your wait will be over soon!!

Two calls to my MA and no ETA yet. Um hello?! The cars were off loaded Wednesday night. So much for joy riding this weekend. I may have to call in a sick day if I have to pick it up midweek next week.

I did learn that the stripes are being installed at the VCD and not at the dealership, so there may a queue for that work.

I want my car!!!

 

I went back to the WW site and now there is a bit more info there. It looks like my car had two more status changes on it, discharged and delivered both 14:00 yesterday. So maybe they wont hit the VCD till Monday and then a couple of days there

If any more of my family and friends tell me "you have waited this long its only a couple more days" I will not be responsible for my actions

My MA sent me a quick line: I should be getting an ETA on Monday...

kewlby & noddy... you ordered 2 months back... things ain't all that bad <wink> Ever since my order turned 6 months old, my level of excitement has been going down, and down, and down... Mini might even get to keep it.
A colleague of mine is 6 1/2 months pregnant and she has WAY MORE to show than I do with this darn car!

I'd say that after such a wait I am getting cold feet: is the car soooooo great it deserves such a long wait? BTW, I finally found a name for it: I will have Mini baptize it "DESIREE"...

Six months does seem like a long time now. I thought I had it bad when my MA said yesterday that it should take three weeks to get from the VPC to the dealer here in Honolulu. I said, you mean VDC? And he said, no, the VPC. I'm holding out hope he's as wrong about the timing as the acronym.

Just got an email from my MA... Apparently my MINI got totally jacked during rough seas on the trip over. She wants to let me know she'll get me to the front of the line on a reoerder.

This frickin' blows.

What are you going to do now? Have you considered checking nearby dealers to see if they have something similar in stock? I would think you could get a pretty good deal in the current economic climate.

Sorry to hear the terrible news, that sucks. To be honest I think all of us in this build week could have maybe negotiated a better deal if we knew how bad things were going to be in the world. Even though your MA has been very good to you (I read your other post) my personal opinion is to push a bit, they dont want to lose the sale and also hopefully they feel they own you. As Kewlby suggested it might be a great time to haggle for something on the lot close to what you want.

Mongorama... I feel for you man... ANd now on top of waiting we all have to HOPE everything will be fine...

Regarding what is next for you... I have another idea... since it was MINI's and the transporter's fault (as opposed to the dealer's), ask for a JCW : plenty of dealers carry these on the lot and seem to have a rough time moving them...

I'm guessing (just guessing) that the JCWs on the lot will have fairly sparse options in order to keep the price down as much as possible (don't want sticker shock to distract buyers of Justas and MCSs and make them think of price as well).

So, if you ordered lots of extras on your jacked MINI, I doubt you'll find them on a lot JCW.

Talked to my MA on Saturday and my Clubman is scheduled to be shipped out today, so my delivery appointment is scheduled for Saturday! I probably could have done it earlier, but I live about 2 hours from the dealer...so Saturday works better.

Did your MA give you any details of what happened to your baby? We're all here for ya' man.
