Oh Cruel Irony!

My little guy has arrived at the dealer. But I can't even go see him for 2 Weeks! LOL Thanksgiving travel plans! The family wont miss me. Will they?! LOL

It's not just bad planning. He's early! And I just assumed he would be late.

 

I stopped out at the dealer to drop off my loan app and lo and behold, there it was!! They had just unloaded it 10 minutes earlier. Wow, what a cool MINI. I get to pick it up Wed at 4. I only have one crappy cell phone picture, so I won't post it, but I will post some when I pick it up Wed.

 

Mine arrived at the dealer as well today! It's currently off-site at the prep center and I'll be picking it up on Wednesday afternoon.

 

My MA confirmed my MCS is in !! I will pick him up on Wednesday I would tomorrow, but she is off

 

I'm in the same boat as you... I just keep telling myself "it's only one more day".

I've repeated that a lot tonight...

 

I am gonna go and take a look at Josh tomorrow anyhow

 

Online said ETA to dealership was saturday, MA said they'll get it in tuesday, pick up for wednesday afternoon!

 

I don't know what is going on with my MINI. I think it was week 45 but I'm not positive. I know that it arrived at the port of exit on November 11th but as far as I know it is still there. Called my MA and he seems to think that it is still waiting on a boat and ASK MINI said they can't track it any further. I just want to know what is going on with my MINI. Two whole weeks waiting to get on a boat seems a little bit long.

 

cmulcahy: May be your MINI is onboard K-line transport. You don't get much info until it leaves port. I didn't find out that it left on K-line Caribbean until it was half way across Atlantic. Keep the faith

I'm really late to this party! My Mellow Yellow MINI is Week 45, and I just got a call from the dealer that she arrived today! He'd called yesterday to say that he thought she might be coming early, as in next week, but ta-da...!

I feel like such a slacker MINI owner..! I have a Solar Red '06 and I remember I was logging into the Owner's Lounge daily and checking the status, watching the ship in the port and on satellite, etc.

This one - I didn't do any of that. :( Chalk it up to a lot of travel and family stuff going on. I wasn't planning on picking her up until after the Jan 1. I've got to at least drive in to the city to go see her, though!

I feel for you guys whose cars have been pushed back... my Solar Red took over 4 months to arrive after ordering and I remember how impatient I was.

Figures the person who doesn't need it right away has theirs arrive early...

 

Anyone know how long it takes for the dealership to put sport stripes on? Mine reaches port huemne on the 1st and it has to me transported to the bay area of San francisco. Am leaving for new jersey on the 8th for a week. Hopefully I can pick it up before I leave.:/

I picked up my MINI yesterday

Picked up as scheduled. In last 48 hours, 250 miles with biggest grin. Averaging 30mpg so far in mixed city/hwy driving. Surprisingly, enjoying the smooth & gentleness of non-sport mode. I guess I will stay mostly away from sport mode during the break-in period.

I just laugh when I see my MINI in the garage when I get out in the morning to go to work. Am I crazy ??

 

The Tristan has been setting in the Colon harbor for several day and this morning it pass thru the Gatun Locks. As of about 5:35 PM ET it passed under the Centennial Bridge. It is getting late and it is very foggy but I might be able to post some pics when it reaches the Miraflores Lock.

The Tristan is currently scheduled to reach Port Hueneme December 5th around noon. Our mileage may vary!

 

Well. Lets hope it gets in on the 5th. This it the third date of arrival I have seen for the Tristan. Hopefully when I get back on the 11th from NJ; it'll be at the dealership. *Fingers Crossed*

 

The Tristan is headed for the open Pacific! It went thru Miraflores around 11 PM ET. If I read the info right there are 506 Mini's and 295 BMW's on board to unload at Port Hueneme.

 

WW site still shows the 12/04 as arrival date.

Is the faltaff gonna catchup with the Tristan? A race to the port! Haha

 

This may overload the port as there might not be enough ground transportation to handle two cargos. So some of us could get cars with delays.

 

So my MINI is on the Tristan. I just got a call this morning from my MA. My MINI will arrive at the Denver dealership on Dec. 14. Hopefully I can pick her up on the 17th. The waiting is a killer.

 

WW site now shows that TRISTAN should arrive 12/06, FALSTAFF 12/07

 

Sorta late here-
I took delivery on black friday!
One minor note if you live in a cold climate- my mini started to shudder at idle and it threw an increased emissions warning and a check engine light. The next day it went away- I called the dealership and they said this does happen on rare occasion with the O2 sensor when the car is new and the temperature dips all a sudden. It should be a one time thing and if it happened to me again then they'll take a look see into it. Either way, I'm going back to the dealership this weekend to pick up some floor mats and have them take a look at it.

Mine is on Tristan and I'm sooo disappointed that the arrival date got postponed AGAIN - the latest ETA is 12/6. Today I tracked my mini and got something new (see attached) - it says CUSTOMS RELEASE and LINER RELEASE... does that mean the vessel arrived already?! I'm confused.
