Wow they really moved production up on mine.

Finally got something new since Saturday!

Car went into production Friday! VIN is up!

My Mini is schedule for completion for Nov. 5th so that means am in Week 45 as well? Just want to make sure am in the right place. Ordered is from East Bay Mini in CA. Do you guys think it'll be here before Christmas?

 

I've ordered from East Bay MINI as well. I hope for a Christmas present

 

Awesome U-2!! We can keep each other informed about the status of our mini's. Hopefully they will be on the same boat on there way to CA; and arrive before Christmas. *crosses fingers* I called ASK MINI (used automated system) this morning and mine was currently in the Body Shop. Whether its was a correct status I don't know. :D Good Luck!

 

I think yours still have a chance to get on TRISTAN. Mine will be completed 3 days later (Nov 8), so FALSTAFF is a best bet.

 

Ordered 10/20/08. Went into production 10/28/08. Finished 11/03/08. Awaiting transport...

 

Production finished and waiting for a carrier to the port of exit!

 

Transported to the port of exit. Nov. 6th Hopefully gets on the Tristan and here in early Dec. :D

 

Did you try your VIN on WW site?

 

Just did but no results. I'll check later today and tomorrow morning. Hopefully gets on the Tristan on the 10th.

I hope we make the Tristan. The W&W site has nothing on our VIN yet.

Our MA is kinda excited to see it to. They liked our color options as they've seen a lot of combos they didn't care for recently

 

Yeah just saw earlier post after my question so I edited my post. I wonder why mine got built before yours; even though your was ordered before mine..hmm. What are you specs? I also told my MA that I would like it before Christmas so maybe pushed it up. Not sure. Thanks for your help!

 

Mine is just a MCCa, xenon, rails, MFSW, PS/PS.
I think MA used a pre-allocated spot (my order details on OL site were wrong).
Your spot for MCS just happened to be before mine. Were your specs wrong the first time you looked at OL?

 

Naw. They were right. I had mine setup on miniusa.com like a month before I even went to East Bay. Did you set yours up at miniusa.com or did you do it at the dealership? Mine is pretty standard. No big added features.

 

I am talking about Owners' Lounge Order Details. Did you look at it as soon as you got your production number from MA?
As for the dealership - I never went to East Bay Mini. I took a test-drive at Mountain View location, but they wanted $1500 over MSRP, so I configured mine on Miniusa.com and e-mailed the configuration to East Bay Mini.

mdot - I used the Owners Lounge and ASK-MINI to track my car, though ASK-MINI is updated quicker.

 

Where is the order details on Owners Lounge? What tab is it under? Haven't seen any yet. Yeah I went to East Bay and we reviewed the car details first and took a test drive as well. Yeah, I had email them a couple of weeks before about some general questions and my MA told he would take off the $2000 markup because I was a local. :D So basically just the price on MINIUSA plus tax.

 

Log into the Owner's Lounge and beneath the photo on the main page, click "Track Your MINI". Once the pop-up window finishes loading, click on "Review Order Detail". You'll find your production number and VIN there, as well as a list of your factory options.

 

Thanks ct21. Have already seen this page. I was thinking that there was gonna be the whole list of options like when you build the car. Although I don't have anything listed under factory ordered options. Is this a problem? Mine is correct.
