Nice little ride. I haven't seen donkey in 2 weeks now.. Apparently the transmission input seal gasket takes forever to get and I will be without my new car for another 4 days at least..

Yeah, considering I have runflats, I was surprised that I got the full tool kit AND a spare!

I guess it's because it's a Cooper, but I was still surprised.
Yes, it was quite a test of the DTC on the way home. It felt pretty surefooted even on the All Seasons. The ride down was scary even in an AWD Rav4. The ride back was just as scary-which is pretty good considering the MINI has 2 less drive wheels.

Sorry to hear about donkey. I hope this isn't a common problem with the week 49 builds!

Well, glad to hear is wasn't any MORE scary than in the Rav4.

Our MINI won't be seeing much of that stuff, but it's nice to know the system works.

MINI-Fred Home - FINALLY!

Greetings from Jolly Olde England, where it sometime takes 5 weeks to travel 90 odd miles from the factory at Oxford to the dealer in Suffolk. Was able to pick up MINI-Fred yesterday and am quite happy to have it in my driveway, mileage to follow soon! Will be posting a couple pictures of the cargo net set-up as soon as it warms up just a bit. No freebies that I can see other than a first-aid kit but have to give Park Lane some credit as MINI-Fred did come with a full tank of petrol...

I GOT IT TODAY!!!

Love it so far. The NAV is worth every penny.

As a victim of the last production week before shutdown, the car came with the wrong wheels!

...No time to type, gotta motor....

I'll work on it tomorrow. Pics are coming, I promise.
First plans are to put my S-Lites on and exchange the S-Winders for the Bridge Spokes that I had specified.

Man, this car RAWKS!

Woot, Donkey is home! Again! lol
I don't know what was longer, the wait to get him or the wait to get him back!

They had to pull the engine and transmission to get to the transmission seal. So far all is well, no additional squeaks or rattles yet.

Hey good for you. I'm glad someone's delivery came out good. My did not. I unwound my deal today. I reordered the MINI and now have to wait again. The interior was not correct and there were some other issues.

So the wait is on again. My wife's car "Dotty" is going to be quite old now once I get Fulbert. She will be dating a younger car.

Anyway, congratulations Jordon. Now buy a new camera and give us some good shots.

Regards,

Pat

Pat give us some more info. I'm going to be flying in and pick mine up tomorrow and maybe your info can help me to be sure mine's all in order!

I know that doesn't help you to feel any better (I know I'd be livid), but if you have anything that can help others to be cautious of, it would really be appreciated. I really am sorry for your loss!!!

Hey Pat, I am sorry about your terrible experience. I cannot believe that they messed up on Fulbert. I hope that they make it up to you for the extra 8 week long wait. Well at least once you get your MCS the weather will be better and more chance to play. Take care and fill us in along the process.

I'm kind of bummed out but I want it right. Hopefully the second go round will be better.
