New here & need wiring diagram

Hi all. Great site. I have an 02 MC that had water damage to the body control module. I replaced it and think there might be some bad connections or wires. the buttons for the a/c and rear defrost dont work and the right turn signal only works on the fender lamp.

Does anyone know where I could get a diagram that shows whats what on the body control module? My bently book doesnt show detail. There are 4 plugs in it and a whole bunch of wires and I need to know which is bad and goes to my faulty circuits.

Thanks
Reuben

BMW publishes wiring diagrams in their Wiring Diagram System (WDS). Someone put the WDS online and you can find a link in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=154581

The wiring diagrams in the Bentley were simply reprinted from the WDS. There might not be additional detail from what you've already seen. However, the WDS is much easier to navigate and search through than the hopelessly awkward Bentley, and you might find something you missed.

Thanks, it does give more detail, but none of the diagrams I need open for the general control module. I get the little red x. Maybe they pulled some of it off line? It seems the R56 newer models are still there.

I haven't seen a red x while using the software. What path in the menu tree did you see it? Did you install the Adobe SVG viewer (works only on IE, e.g. not Firefox)?

Click on the Models button at the upper left to get to the home page, then click on Technical Requirements at the lower right. It will show you what you need, and has a system test link.

Heck, right now I'm posting this from a commuter train, connected over a Verizon wireless data plan, and I just started it up on my netbook, and it works for me.

Do you have all the system requirements? Click on the Models button at upper left, then the Technical Requirements button at lower right. What do you see? Also what results from their system test page: http://www.mcaw.info/wds/mini/us/systemtest/us_test.htm
