Minnesota Mini - what was your production completed date? I have been obsessed with entering my VIN at the WW tracking site and so far I keep getting the "No Tracking Information Available" message.

My clubman showed up as booked on the Independence II just a few minutes ago for the first time. So maybe yours will show soon too?

Try calling the Mini line and don't get a rep. Say "production status" and then read it your production # when it asks. That's been more accurate for me. I think the reps just look on the website.

Casey61- My car was completed and released to the carrier on 09/09. I first noticed the WW shipping site had my car scheduled around 11:00 today. It did not have it last night when I went to bed (I think I was checking 5-6 times a day).......so check it often and don't get too down when it comes up craps........it will be there one of these times and you will have hit the jackpot. FYI- I am really no closer to having my Mini, but it feels good to know it is schedule. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

WW

I have been going to the WW site and clicking on "auto cargo" then entering my VIN. Am I doing this correctly? I feel like I am on the carousel from
h**l waiting.

Wizeguy, I feel your frustration not knowing what ship and when you will get on one. The good news is that there are 3 strong possibilities with Indep. II, Don Quijote and possibly the Carribbean Highway (leaving tomorrow). Hopefully you will make one of them. If I understand the K-line correctly, you could be on that one and not know it, due to the fact that you can't track it.

I got bumped back to completion date of Sun. 14th (I'm only in the body shop as of today) and I'm afraid "my little guy" won't make it in time for the 16th and then have to wait until 19th or 20th.

Hang tight and maybe give your MA a call. Maybe they can update you.

Thanks for giving me more hope. I forgot about K-line possibilities.

The only reason I'm concerned right now is that I'm doing a charity event on October 18th for Children's Mercy Hospital here in Kansas City. For more info you can go to www.kcrally.com . It costs a lot of money to get into (but it's for charity) and I had planned on running my JCW there. I guess worst case is I show up to a car event in a car that I'm not passionate about. But you can see how this would be a bummer if it's not ready by then.

I spoke with ASK MINI and someone was actually able to give me solid dates:

Expect 7-10 days from completion to shipment.

17 days across the ocean (for those going to California)

7 days in the last Quality Control stop

However long from there to your dealership.

I got finished today, so after doing the math and trying to anticipate time to travel to WA I'm guessing 38-41 days from today.

siggiS, Were you unable to get a production slot for an 08 or were you waiting for 09's?
We would have gladly taken a 08 model, but unfortunately that's just how long it took. We were 14th in line for a production number. My MA didn't call back with the production number till July 25th. They are the only dealer ship in Washington State. And I don't believe that it's any faster in Portland, OR.

I checked the link out. I can understand why you want to have your MINI in time for the rally. If it doesn't make it in time, what car will you run? All of us week 37er's will keep our fingers crossed for you for the 18th.

Is Charleston your port of entry? That's what mine is although I don't understand why it wouldn't be new york or baltimore. Are you having anything added to your MINI at the dealership? I know that is going to add a week to my wait because I'm having the invisashield and tinting done as well as the euro arm rest and a perforated union jack graphic for my sunroof.

Your Laser Blue JCW with the JCW aero kit is going to look sa-weeeet in the rally- keep the faith and keep telling yourself that!

Still no luck for me on the Wallenius carousel..........K-Line's Caribbean Highway would be really cool, that would put me in Charleston on 25th. Somehow I am doubting my luck here.

Schedule change for WW- Don Quijote

The Don Quijote which was posted on the 9/9 schedule to depart Southampton on Sept 16 is now showing that it will depart on Sept 19 instead.

I think our JCW children are out showing off their stuff along the English coutryside My "Rupert" was completed 9-6 and has not shown up on the WW site either His final destination is St Louis, MO so maybe they will be on the same transport to the dealers. Good Luck on getting a delivery by the 18th, but you will have plenty of opportunities to show him/her off at other events.

Great news guys. If those born on 9/8 are on the Indy 2, I imagine the rest of us born this week might catch the 9/17 ship, the Tamerlane. Or the Don Quijote on the 19th.

I found out on the WW website four days after I got my completion date.
