Week 37 support group
Yeah, it's one of those days.
That image just makes me smile!
I am happy for you and the others that have FINALLY been booked to sail. I'm sure it won't be long before the rest of us join you.
I am no longer a crackline addict
...now I am punching my vin into the Wallenius Wilhelmsen cargo site like a nut to see if my mini has found it's way on board the Don Quijote!! When does the madness stop???

Wow, week 37er's and week 38er's on the Traviata. I am a week 36er and I am on the Traviata. Doesn't seem fair. Car was finished on 9/6. Arrived at Port on 9/10. (Guess it took the scenic route) and now 9/16 finally gets on a ship.
Port of Exit
I was just told my mini is at the "Port of Exit" Yeppie!!!!
There is still hope for catching a ride on the Don Quijote tomorrow. Still not listed on the WW site.
It does appear progress is being made.
Congrats to all that have set sail.

Does anyone other than myself find it odd or possibly a coincidence that so many in our week, as well as week 36 were finished production early last week and sitting in Southampton but didn't get confirmation of shipping but yet a very large cargo ship left the dock last Friday- namely the Caribbean Highway? I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up but it does seem rather odd to me that no one is on that ship. According tho the K Line schedule this ship does stop in Charleston... just a thought.
Why can't K line have the tracking that WW has? It sure would cause a lot less anxiety for a few of us state side!
Mike, is your port of arrival listed on your paperwork they gave you when you placed your order?
Napria- I believe your port of arrival is Georgia so, according the ship schedules, you would have to be WW. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for a big bon voyage tomorrow!
Thanks to all of you! I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere!

Is there any way to know if you could be on a ship already? I know my MA hasn't been very helpful with some basic requests but maybe you guys woulld have had more luck.

Do not believe the OL, call your dealer!

Which line is the Carribean Highway on? I am in Charleston, SC with a Mini JCW Clubman S that has been sitting at the Southampton dock since 9/8/08 per Ask Mini and MINI USA has me in transport to the dock as of 9/5/08?

Here is another thread regarding tracking your MINI. A lot of the info has been repeated but at this point, I'm willing to read anything to keep my mind occupied!

The belief that my car may be on the Carribean Highway is the only thing keeping me afloat right now. I just fear that I'm getting my hopes up. Nobody warned me of the Mini depression that could set in during this stage. Maybe I'll call the dealer later today. I've emailed my MA before and was told they didn't have any info... maybe they didn't even look. I'd like to believe that my MA actually cares enough to look, because she has been very helpful throughout the process.

I just thought of this analogy.
Has anyone seen the movie Apollo 13? They go into space, and the shuttle is crippled. So they decide the only way to get them home is to use the slingshot effect off the moon. Well at one point the moon will be between them and earth, and they would be in radio silence for like a day. NASA didn't know whether they were still alive, and the astronauts got to sit in the tin can and hope they lived to hear NASA again.
Right now is basically like that. No information can go between me and Mini because of a big giant moon in the way.

Oh my goodness my Mini is on a boat. Yes, Yes, Yes. She left on 9/12/08 on the Carribean Hwy.
Thank you each so very much for sending me in the direction of K-Line and then calling the Charleston Dealer.
Arrival, per Dana at the Dealership, to port is approx. 9/25
then to the distribution center in Greenville on 9/26 for a 5-7 days dealer ad ons, then back to Charleston. HOO HOO. Now I know where Mini Moo is, on a boat.

Hmmmm - somethin' ain't quite adding up. Good thing I've had a lot of practice waiting.
