Hi all,

I've been lurking around the site for the past few months looking at all of the cool Mini's you guys have. I actually ordered a BRG Mini Clubman about a month ago here in California. I kind of wanted a Clubman S, but my lovely wife said no at that point. I think she knew I was pining for a Clubman S and everything, so last weekend she said that I could switch it over to an S. Isn't she cool or what?
Anyways, to make a long story short. I contacted my MA and he said that the demand is so high for the Clubman, that I would have to wait until the '09's come out in October/November. Have any of you heard of this happening at other dealerships? I'm curious to know. I know it will be a long wait, but I think it is worth it. I'm excited to learn more about this car from everyone. Yeah, I'll try not to. Although we should be keeping this car for a while and my wife said that I should have fun with it and I can make mods as I go. She is so nice to me.

Yes I ordered my Clubman S last week and was told just what you said. 2009 model for October delivery. I get the idea that the 2008s are sold out. I guess now that people are spotting them on the streets and gas is so high, everyone including me are running to the dealerships. Good luck with your order.

 

Ahh, okay. I was told that I may not get mine until December/January, but my MA was guessing about that. Where did you order yours from? Are you in California?

 

Go see Amanda at South Bay MINI. They usually have a good allotment of production slots. She's great to work with, very knowledgeable (she owns two MINIs) and very attentive. She always kept in touch with me before and after I ordered. Good luck!

 

That's where I actually ordered my Mini Clubman. South Bay Mini. I've been working with Tyler, who's been pretty good. Thanks for the tip though.

Oh you guys are lucky, lots of open sunroof days! How fun it will be driving your MINI to the beach and through the mountains. I grew up in Northern California. Now live in Texas where it is soooo hot.

 

Welcome! So is the Clubman S going to be BRG like your originally ordered Clubman?

You're not too far from me either. I live in West LA but you can find me motoring around on the 405 and 10 fwys from Carson to Santa Monica.

 

Geoffrey doesn't have a sunroof and I actually prefer it that way. Windows down works really well for me.

 

I'm considering nixing my sunroof order. I was not pleased with the perforated door, doesn't do much to block out the glare and the heat.

 

Yeah, I'm going to order the BRG Clubman S. I really like the color and everything I just hope they come out with the '09's soon.
