On the WW tracking site, my MCSC VIN shows up on the Talisman.

It left Southampton YESTERDAY .... I'm so excited.

I've been unable to really track my car until now. We have a brand new dealer here, operating from a mall until construction completes on the showroom, and the MA didn't know to get my production number into the miniusa site in time.

The Talisman is scheduled to dock in NY on the 29th, Baltimore on the 31st and Savannah on April 3. I don't know where the clubbie will unload and it will be interesting to see if the new dealership has any clue.

I'll have to change my sig, soon.

 

My VIN still returns no results :( What date did yours finish production?

 

Beats me ... as I said, I haven't been able to track until now. My MA sent me an e-mail early last week with the VIN and a "production date" of 3/18. I assumed that was start of production, but you know what they say about "assume". Then he sent an e-mail on Friday saying my car was waiting for a boarding pass. That prompted me to check the WW site and there it was ...

I wish I had more info for you.

I guess I'm just lucky to make it onto a WW ship, rather than K-Line.

 

Hmm, mine finished production on the 12th so I guess I just got stuck on a Kline. Time to go check the schedules.

Edit: But wait, there's more! The kline ship Michigan Highway is due in South Hampton tomorrow and IS on marinetraffic.com! I know what I'm going to be watching all day tomorrow at work :P

 

Anyone else on the Undine?

 

According to my MA, my MINI is still waiting at the dock for a ship (since last Monday at least!). He told me my port loc is Brunswick, GA, and it looks like WW is the only shipping company of the two that goes to that port, but my MINI still isn't showing in their tracking system. Is anyone else still waiting at port? My MINI needs company!!

 

Mine is currently at Brunswick and it got there via a kline so make sure to check their schedules too! Some of their ships show up on marinetraffic so you may get to track it afterall. Also apparently the WW site won't update til the last minute sometimes so don't be disheartened.

 

Do you mean the Undine that is landing in New York tomorrow? I am!!!!

 

Just found out my MINI completed production today and is awaiting transport!!!

Unless I am using the wrong link, none of the fields on the WW tracking page are labeled as VIN. Where do I enter the VIN? Customer reference number?

You VIN number goes in the Cargo ID text box on the far right.

Is there a way to know to what dealership a car was transferred to from the Halifax Port?

Just curious to see what dealer had my car, before my local dealer snatched it!

 

A minor correction...paint and drying actually happen BEFORE assembly. And when the metal is being put together, that is called body shop. So it goes body shop, paint, assembly, QA....

 

Very cool - I used the site yesterday - found out our new Mini Cooper S Cabriolet left Southampton May 2nd aboard the "Elektra" and will be arriving in Halifax Monday the 10th!!!

Yes, got it from Elite (not much choice!) This is our second convertible Mini!! Do you have a car on the Elektra also??


BTW, came across this very interesting Google StreetView picture of the Halifax autoport... This is one of the WW ships that is used by Mini - hard to tell if it's the Elektra (they have a few that look alike), but isn't it ironic that that would be one of the ship that is docked when the StreetView car came by!!

Yeah, I know... Not much choice. I did however shopped in Montreal before going with Elite. They beat the best price I had gotten from a Montreal dealership and then some... So I can say it's been a positive experience so far! My Camden was supposed to be on a truck coming from Montreal to Ottawa this week. Not sure when exactly I'll pick it up, but I can't wait!

 

So the Elektra docked at the Halifax autoport early this morning, per the schedule. Then our Mini received a Liner Release status at 9:23 am! I`m guessing that means the car is off the boat?

What's the next step, and will the WW site be updated with the next step, or is it out of their hand from now on?

 

Answering my own question - the next step is Discharged - at 18:39 for me.
