Automated Ask Mini told me today that my car was headed for the "Port of Exit". The W & W site doesn't recognize my VIN number yet. I got my Mini through Mini of Towson, MD so I assume my car needs to go through the NY port. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to make the FIDELIO or PATRIOT.

 

My car shows as booked on the RIGOLETTO. No bill of lading number yet. Wahoo. SPF ZERO, I'd check the WW site.

Oh yeah, and SPF Zero as well. Woo hoo! it's been SOOOOO long already! at least now we can track the ship on the SLOOOOW trip across the Atlantic.

 

Yep, we're all on the Rigoletto (I checked early this am and posted in one of the other groups)! I hear the blackjack tables on the Promendade Deck really get rocking after 10pm.

I also noticed that the Rigoletto originally showed as departing on June 5, now it shows June 4 (still arriving June 25).

 

You guys are lucky! Maybe we will all have our cars by 4th of july!

I hope I get on a ship this week. They said my car completed yesterday and should be en route to the port sometime in the next couple days.


I hope I can figure out what boat it's on.

Just found out this morning that I'm booked on the FIDELIO, now I'm just going to say hi to Captain Stubing, get a couple of drinks from Isaac and settle in on the lido deck for the voyage.

 

Just checked the sailwx site, and progress is definitely being made. On a lark, I checked the W&W site and what do you know? ETA in NY is now June 7! Getting ever closer!!!

A bit of reverse engineering on my part....

The ASK MINI rep can't give me any more info after it arrived at the port of exit. I haven't heard from my MA yet, and OL still shows that it's awaiting transport.

BUT. The automated system via ASK MINI said "In Transit". Since I'm either going to Charleston or Brunswick (for Chicago), and since WW isn't pulling info on my VIN, I assume I'm on the K-Line "Caribbean Highway" per goatdog's chart!

I threw a pict of the rust bucket in my gallery.. Kinda funny.

I'll try to confirm with my MA later today. Still no way to track the K-Line, eh? Too bad!

I know this is out there somewhere, but does anyone have a rough guess for how long it generally takes for dealer delivery after the ship makes port? I assume it'd be a week (which is right when I'll be going out of town ).

 

ASK MINI automated tells me in transit also. I am assuming I am on the K Line as well, as no recognition of Vin on WW site... Kind of relaxing though in a "I have no idea where my car is" kind of way
kbleicher- does your receipt from ordering not show your port... Port Loc = CHSPOA for Charleston I assume.

 

Hmmm.. Would that be the paperwork that my MA gave me when I made the order and place the deposit? Or something else? I'll have to check when I get home today. Thanks for the info!

 

Just got off with ASK MINI's automated update and was told production is completed....YEAH

Does anybody know exactly what "waiting to be released to carrier" mean?

Hopefully can make the Fidelio or Patriot...

how did you find out it will be in orlando the 22nd? Mines suppose to be dropped off at J-ville. maybe it will be on the same transporter

 

That means that is in the parking lot at the plant waiting for a truck to take it to the port.

I just spoke to a rep at ASK MINI and was told it is still in "final production" NOT "waiting to be released to carrier". Now not sure what is going on

I guess I have to wait till tomorrow for another update..
