ASK-MINI (automated) says paint shop, which means it's probably really in assembly. Still hoping for tomorrow finish, but a day won't make a difference since the next boat isn't until 6/5. Hopefully several of us will be on that boat and one step closer to happy motoring!

 

Yeah, same here.. The automated told me I was awaiting transport, and the person at ASK MINI told me I'd have to work with my MA from this point. Owner Link tends to run behind a couple of days, so I have less faith in that.

The VIN doesn't match with WW yet; probably a day or so too soon, or I'm on a K-Ship.

Everyone I've talked to at ASK MINI has been friendly and helpful. Just seems like I've run it through what they can assist with (in terms of shipping status).

I just emailed my MA; we'll see how that goes...

 

Brittany- Please let me know when you find out that your car is on a boat so I can check to see if mine is also on the boat to SSIPOA(Brunswick)!!!

 

Talked to a nice guy at ASK-MINI on my way home from work. I guess my car was in paint. Said it should still be done tomorrow. I guess the next boat to the west isn't until the 5th anyway (with a 20 day transit time). My nephew has been playing with configuring a cooper S on miniusa (he'll need to finish college first, but he can still want). Saw two coopers on the way to work today. Looking forward to being one of them.

 

According to ASK-MINI (automated) this morning, I'm "being transported to the port of exit." Not holding my breath about making the Independence, so I expect my MINI will be sitting forlornly on the dock waiting almost a week for the Fidelio

As the instigator of this thread, I'll come up with a comprehensive list of people/ports over the weekend. Anyone who hasn't designated their location in their profile will remain "hidden."

 

I got the same message this morning: "Released to a carrier; awaiting transportation to the port of exit". So I'm probably in a parking lot somewhere next to you...

I've been sitting at port for a day or two now unless automated system isn't exactly up to date. I may in for a shock, seems most Mini's headed for Texas take the K-line which can't be tracked... my vin hasn't shown up on WW site yet, so I am leaning that way... although my paperwork says CHS does the K-line go there or just Houston? anyone know?

 

Loaded onto the Independence II at 5:25 pm local time today! This ship goes on to Charleston and Brunswick as well, so maybe if you check again.... There's also a K-Line ship leaving tomorrow for Charleston/Brunswick.

Since we both have a projected birthday of June 2nd, we quite possibly could hitch a ride on the Fidelio on June 5th (arrival June 19th) or Patriot June 6th (arrival June 23rd)
Unfortunately if we miss those two we hopefully will make the Mignon on June 10th (arrival June 24th).

No, I was being **** retentive and plugged my VIN into the tracking tools at the WW website. The K-Line info comes from their website. BTW, the OL still shows me as "Scheduled for Production."

 

You must have jumped ahead of me... I entered my VIN under the Auto Cargo search and it can't find my VIN

OL shows the same for me, though the automated system and my MA told me it arrived at the port of exit.....

Just for giggles I did a search on my VIN. It came up via CarFax.

Manufactured in Germany? Station Wagon? Pardon?

 

Maybe you're headed for Brunswick; I checked again, and the Independence II doesn't stop there. That suggests you're on K-Line and will hopefully depart tomorrow.

 

If I'm lucky it'll be completely untraceable so I can get back to a normal life of not checking every few hours! I'm sad (but in good company )

 

Well, mine rolled off the line today. Now it just needs to flag down a passing ship and get here. Ran into a couple at Costco that bought a Cooper at the same dealership as me. They were loving it. Guess ASK-MINI will be glad that I can't bug them anymore. Now my MA is going to get bugged until it gets on a ship.

 

Just checked, and OL says "Awaiting Transport". Since it runs behind should I assume that this means it's already been to the buffet a few times on the ship and is hanging in the hot tub?

 

My OL says "Scheduled for Production." Makes you wonder who designs these systems

 

Mine still says "Scheduled for production" as well, but the rep says that it is done. Kind of poor. Wish our customers would settle for stuff like that. If they hadn't given us the ASK-MINI number, we wouldn't know any better though.
