How many times can you check a day before the men in white coats come to take you away? I am committed to speaking to a person "at most" once per day. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

You're a better man than I; I figure that calling once in the morning then again later in the evening will at least guarantee I don't get the same person. Makes me look less psycho

I'm in the body shop officially today so looks like we're on target to finish production 5/30. So it turned out to be week 22 after all. Maybe now that it's really in production, I will stop obsessing. Sure.

Congrats and welcome Though some of the week 23'ers probably aren't too happy about it

I'm in the same boat. I try not to tell anyone outside the forum. They'd make 'L' signs on their forehead

I sneak into the laundry room at home so my wife can't hear me call. It'd be easier if it was all touch-tone. I feel so dirty.

She has been released to a carrier and is awaiting shipping. According to automated system this morning. Now I need to find that thread about finding out which boat she will be on and how to track it...

Mine completed assembly! Final inspection, then off for a ship.

ASK MINI says they won't have information from this point. I'll switch over to tracking the VIN with shipping from here.

Woo hoo!

Week 21/22/23 !

G'morning all...
We ordered back on April 18 and got assigned to week 23 (June 2 start). Then I found out we were moved up to week 21, but it looks like we're straddling 21/11. Production started on May 20, scheduled completion today (5/28). I just made my morning call and we are on "final assembly."

Of course I'm envious of you east-coasters, as Wellington will have to take the VERY long ship ride from Southampton through the Canal to Port Hueneme and then another LONG truck ride from CA to CO. We're hopeful for a July 4 ride...

I guess mine was in the body shop as of yesterday. I guess paint is next. Sounds like my finish date might slip.

Nah, be positive Body shop yesterday, paint today, assy tomorrow, and final check Friday. It works (and this is the same schedule that Adam at ASK-MINI gave me) . Thinking ahead, the Fidelio leaves 6/3 for NYC and for CHS. Who else is hoping to be aboard?

Haha haha you're not alone!

touch tone would be nice. I guess they think if we are using the ask mini line we deserve a ego shot!

I get picked on by everyone. I'm officially a 'loser' till this damn car gets here!

Mine will have to go through the canal. I think that adds a week. When I was on the phone to ASK-MINI this morning, I got passed by a red MC. Don't see many Minis where I live. Maybe one per day on my 70 mile round-trip. Never seen a clubman. I would say that I can't wait, but the truth is that I will be waiting 4-6 weeks longer. Saw a guy in another thread that has a September delivery date; I'd go insaner (I can't say that my current behavior is exactly sane).

Yes- you can search by ports and pull up a listing of all upcoming departures from Southampton. There's one leaving 5/30, so you might make that one. Unless my MINI hightails it out of the factory (not exceeding 4500 rpm or 90 mph, of course ) then I won't make it until 6/3.

I'm hoping for the next ship for CHSPOA as well. Can we track those ships from WW or do they use a different carrier?

Looks like we'll probably be on the same ship. Next one I see is the Rigoletto leaving on June 5.

Well, she's at the port awaiting the cruise home. No ship assignment yet but were hoping for Independence II so we don't have to wait an extra week... now the long float over.

Just curious... How did you find out it was at the port? When I called Mini yesterday he told me that as soon as it goes to inspection they're out of the loop and can't help anymore. Maybe they can? Or did you call your MA?

Thanks!

I stopped going to a person. Most of the time they didn't know anything different from automated... which is where I got the latest info... yesterday was released for transport and this morning "at Port". I have never called MA, not impressed with that side of this transaction so far.
