Just order my dream car!

It was time to buy a new car and I've looked everywhere to find the perfect car for a single guy.

I went and research all the major brands and common models, I was almost ready to buy a volvo c30, before test driving a Mini and when I did I just couldn't go back.

It's an awesome machine and with out having a family to drive around it's the perfect small, fun and fast little car to have.

I just order a Pepper White Cooper S and now the only thing left to do is play the waiting game, but I know I have this forum to make the most out it.

So wish me luck guys! I hope time will pass by very very quick!

Congrats

The C30 is a nice ride IMO, but you will have more fun (and alot less stops at the gas station) in your MCS.

If you're anything like me, the wait will be almost intolerable, but with a great payoff when it's over.

Congrats on your new car! What options did you get?

I always thought it would be great to have the ability to order specific options instead of what's crammed into packages. I found it maddening and was always second guessing my choices when I ordered mine. Once I get the car though, I knew I did just fine with the choices I made.

Let me tell you, the wait is endless! Almost five weeks so far for me, and the ship hasn't even made it to the Panama Canal yet!

Unlike what many say, I don't think hanging out at NAM makes the wait go faster - I think it makes it slower since you spend more time thinking about it and obsessing - but I would probably be obsessed anyway, and it is fun to ask all the questions and hear back from the helpful and friendly people here - this place is great!

LOL... Just remember, if you become a not so single guy, the MINI is still a completely wonderful vehicle. There are a ton of threads about those of us that choose to haul the rug rats around in MINIs rather than minivans.

Yeah, but Tony...think of how further ahead of the game you are with Mini accessories and KNOWLEDGE already by hanging out on NAM!?! You can literally "hit the ground running!" Besides...there are plenty of "Week ___" support groups on here to get a group "hug."

Yeah, I've already ordered a big kit from Zaino. I've never waxed a car before, but I'm going to learn now.

I went kinda crazy with the options, here's what I got:
Premium Package
Cold weather package
Sports package
Xenon headlamps
Limited splid differential
Rear Fog lamp
Center arm rest
Leather lounge redwood red
Alarm
Leather sports wheel w/multifunction
Sirius satellite radio
Hi-Def. radio
Bluetooth and USB/ipod adapter

I hope I don't come to my senses soon, but so fine I think I'm sane

Thanks you all for the welcoming !

That is true, but it seems kinda small to ride with a baby, maybe I'll change my mind when I actually get it, but I hope is don't get in that situation for now lol

You love Zaino. Great stuff. Make sure your Zaino kit came with the KoolAid mix. Sometimes kits get out in the wild without it. Drink the Zaino KoolAid first.

While that settles in and converts every DNA strand in your body into a Zaino nut, check out Aaron's thread on how to detail. It's in the Detailing 101 forum as a sticky, and here's the direct link:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=37303
Zaino is unusual stuff and easy to use but VERY time consuming, especially the first wash and wax. Plan on an entire day to do the job right (figuring in lots of time to stand back and go WOW!). Each step is pretty fast, but there are so many, especially when you count the multiple coats some of the layers work best with.

OOH Almost forgot. Your seats - Leather or fabric? If Leather, Zaino makes a leather product. If cloth, 303 is a product from boat dealers (I hear) that is excellent (I also hear). Need to get some 303 myself for my new baby coming in.

Black lounge leather; the big Zaino kit, which I ordered, does come with some leather cleaner I think. Thanks for the tips, the detailing threads get very, umm, detailed! It is a little daunting, to tell the truth, but I really want it to look its best.

  6. Z-9™ Leather Soft Spray Cleaner
  7. Z-10™ Leather in a Bottle
  8. Z-16™ Perfect Tire Gloss
  9. Z-18™ ClayBar
  10. Zaino Metallic Silver Decal
