Alright, I don't see a Week 13 group anywhere in here, or through a search of the site.

I just talked to Alli at (866)ASK-MINI, and she said my car started production today and should be finished on 3/28/08. So, if I'm counting right, that puts me in week 13.

Let's hope the MINI's not triskadekaphobic. That could put a hex on things right from the get-go! Lol.

 

I'm week 13, too. I ordered on 3/08/08 and my MA told me as much, and to expect delivery on or before 5/01/08. I'm trying not to check the Owners Lounge every morning, but I'll admit that I've checked it every day since 3/10/08. My S Clubman (HC/B) is scheduled for production, per the OL, but I have so far resisted the urge to call for more details. I'm sure I'll break down soon enough.

Hey, vinnie. I'm a newbie on the site, too. It is an excellent place.

I originally ordered on 3/7/08, and they told me the same thing (expect by 5/2/08--which I thought was kismet, considering that's my birthday.) My this place made me rethink a couple of options, so I re-ordered and am a week later. I'm sure the coupe and clubmans (clubmen?) are on a different schedule, though.

From what I gathered from talking to ASK-MINI today, the OL online can be up to 7-10 days off. So, I don't know how much good checking the OL does; you would get more accurate information just talking to a customer service rep from ASK-MINI.

For instance, right now, the OL tells me my car is a Chili Red with Sports Pkg and some other stuff I didn't order. But ASK-MINI has me in as the Mellow Yellow (which is correct.) She said, the dealership just pushed it through to get it in the system, and that the OL wouldn't actually show my correct config for 7-10 days after having ordered it. *shrug*

 

Hello fellow Week 13ers! Newbie here as well. First post, and very glad to be here . I ordered on Sunday 3/16, and my info's all over the place as well. I have a MCS DS/B w/ Black Bonnet Manual on order, and the OL says Lightning Blue with white bonnet stripes and auto tranny -- yikes! The guy at Ask Mini suggested I confirm with my MA, but also admitted that the info on the website always isn't right either, so I'm not worried. PLus you can do a search in the forums on "Production Number Wrong" and see that you are absolutely not alone.

One thing he did say that I hope is right is that my MCS went straight into production and should be built on 3/27 .

Update: 1 day later and my Mini is now showing as 100% correct in the OL, the site was also updated with the VIN. Scheduled for Production....just another 5+ weeks to go No wonder they have "support group" threads here! At least the OL is pretty cool, lots of stuff to see and mess around with.

 

I don't think anyone's started a week 13 thread, so here goes.

I ordered on 3/15. TWISTER II went in production today!

This being my first ORDERED MINI, I'm really impatient and want it to get here before the DRAGON. TWISTER I was bought off the dealer lot because of this impatience.

 

I called today, and was told my new Clubman would be finished March 26. First MINI, and first to-order vehicle of any kind. I'm noticing more MINI's on the roads here, since the snow has gone (though we could get more this weekend?!?), and am itching to start enjoying my new baby.

On a whim, I called ASKMINI a few minutes ago and was pleased to learn that the estimated completion date for my first MINI is tomorrow. On the other hand, if it is done tomorrow, am I really a Week 12? I guess I can stand switching support groups if it means I'm driving my MINI sooner, but, gosh, we were just getting started here.

In any event, I'm now going to have to read up on the latter part of the compulsive tracking process, which I understand involves boats in some way....

(on a side note, the Owner's Lounge is finally showing the right car under my Order Number. Of course, it still shows it as "On Order" even though it's already started production.)

 

Let's not be too hasty. If it's really done this week, I'll sadly depart for Week 12. If, heaven forbid, the info proves to be inaccurate, I'll continue to wave the 13 banner proudly.

Hello, I ordered on 3/15.
Oxygen blue with white roof and stripe, and white wheels. No other options, except for sports sheet and alarm system. Real simple one.

My previous car is already non-drivable. so I don't have any car. I am counting the days Mini is going to come to my home. Really.

 

I've been waiting patiently since 3/15/08 when I ordered my MINI, but I couldn't stand it anymore and had to call. I was thrilled to hear that it will finish production so soon! 2 days until my car is fully birthed! w00t!

I called ASKMINI twice (yeah, yeah) on Monday; first response was "you have just one step to completion", and later "your Clubman shows up as being in transit to port of exit". Today (Thursday), with no sign of it on the shipping comany site yet, I called ASKMINI again, and they said it was "built 3/21, final inspection 3/26 (yesterday!)"... I pass this along as a caution to us all against putting too much stock in any of the tracking info. Either they are just toying with us, or more disorganized than we think.

So I'm going to try and resist getting too worked up; as much as I might be ready for my new ride, I'll just have to wait for the MA to call when it arrives. Drat.

 

Yeah, I haven't actually called ASKMINI since the first day when I found out it started production. I figure it'll get here when it gets here, and me spending time on the phone isn't going to hurry that up any.

Hi everyone I am a newbie and ordered my mini on 3/15 was told it is in the body shop and next is paint shop then it should be completed by 3/29 or 3/31 at the latest.

I have a chili red with checkerboard roof.

 

Mine was in the paint shop when I called earlier today, still supposed to be completed today.

Anyone have any idea of how long it takes to get these things on a ship? I've tried reading around and it seems to vary quite a bit, but there must be some rhyme or reason to the timing of it.

I called ASK MINI this morning and was told that it entered the paint shop this morning.

I am so impatient I want my mini and I want it now. I can't stand all of this waiting, it is so exciting but it also makes me so nervous.

Okay I ordered a 2008 Mini Cooper Chili Red with checkerboard roof, checkerboard mirrors, checkerboard dash, checkerboard rearview mirror I know all that stuff goes on when it gets to the dealer. I ordered the cold weather package because I am from upstate New York where we had snow this morning, cruise control, sport seats, rooster red colorline, I would like to eventually get the driver lamps I think they look so cool but I am waiting on that.

I am not sure how long it takes for them to get on the ship I went to the weeks before to kind of get an idea.

I called Ask Mini twice yesterday and once today and I am planning on calling them tomorrow.

 

I called Ask Mini lastnight and they said my mini is still showing in paint shop but that it could be completed just maybe not updated yet.

On a totally different subject my husband went to a Sabres game lastnight we live like 70 miles south of Buffalo and on the way home him and the guy he was with was in an accident. They are both okay Thank GOD but right know they are stuck in Springville hoping to get a tow truck to get the vehicle out. The vehicle is driveable but apparently there were tons of accidents lastnight. I guess it was all black ice on the road and my husband said there were 7 cars involved in the accident they were in. The state trooper took them to a Micro-Tel hotel but not until after 3:00 am

I was told by Ask Mini that they are not in on weekends so only can get the automated service.

 

My status changed to "Awaiting for Transport" in 3/28. I can't wait my mini get on the ship!

 

Good to hear your husband and his friend are OK. Black ice is NOT fun, no amount of good tires or good driving can help in those situations. BTW I'm pulling for the Sabres as well, if they can knock off Philly that would be great. Go Rangers!

Same here! Don't forget to plug your VIN into the Wallenius Wihlmsen site (WW) to get your ship information. My baby was loaded onto the PATRIOT today! Hopefully yours did as well

 

It's rough knowing it's just sitting there waiting to be driven, yet it cannot. It reminds me of "An American Tail," under the same sky, etc. ;-)

My status switched to "Released to a carrier and awaiting transport to a port of exit" on Saturday morning. I tried putting my VIN into WW's site, but no dice. Does anyone know if it should be showing up there yet? I'm not sure when MINI stops updating the status on ask-mini and when it's officially in the WW logs. I suppose I'm in limbo. Very sad.

Keep checking -- my VIN just showed up this morning on the WW site. Unfortunately my tracking results aren't showing a Bill of Lading # so I don't see any other VINs on the PATRIOT...yet. It's hard to believe there won't be any other Minis on board, hopefully the website will update within the next 24h.
