W00T!! I moved to the next step!!
Between you good folks, my dealer and the MINI Owners' Lounge I'm getting a lot of great information... Just like I read here in a few excellent posts... when I first got my Production Number the car holding that slot for my dealer wasn't my order... within 12 hours all my stuff suddenly appeared with a priority status since it was sold... now a day or so later my status has changed to "Scheduled for Production" my dearer said my cars [I'm going to have to give it a name] build date would be the 19th... seems like that's going to happen... I think I'll run out and get some cigars to pass around to celebrate our new babies birth!!
Thank you!
I sure hope it doesn't take 109 days.... my dealer said MINI usually turns these things around in six weeks.... time will tell I guess?
Say is there any place on here where someone has posted some good shots of the Leather: Punch Carbon Black Interior? There wasn't a car equipped like that on the lot... I liked the swatch and all but it would be nice to see a picture of what I actually ordered?

Oh okay well that adds up about right then... apparently the difference being my dealer just happened to have a slot opened where they could immediately place my order... I saw or read somewhere, I think here, where if a car is damaged for less then 10% of it's value that they repair them and then send them along to their final destination.
I guess we're all at the mercy of the shipping gods... it's just the law of averages, I'm sure they try to be extremely careful, but it's just inedible that accidents will happen when this many moving parts are involved... Here's hoping mine slips through the system without any slip-ups...
I guess if my time-frame, at this point, slips beyond the six week mark... I'll have to be suspicious of trouble in paradise... time will tell!

The BMW facility at the port did a great job repairing the scratch on my car. I can spot the smallest of scratches and dings from a hundred feet away and haven't been able to find where mine was repaired. I was a little worried at first but once I saw the car it really isn't a big deal. Any repair work is done at the port by BMW, so it's just as good as if it was done in the factory in Oxford. Thousands get through just fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
Just got off the phone with Ask-MINI... my MINI was born yesterday and has exited to the port.... I grabbed the Vin# off the Status Web Page and plugged it into the WW site... I didn't get a hit so it must not be actually scheduled for a cargo ship just yet... Anyway this is exciting to me and kind-of funny because when you call that MINI number it rings at BMW Finance which is right down the street from me here in Dublin, Ohio... so far, other than the whole Oxford, England thing... this experience has been pretty much Dublin, Ohio based... I bought it here, got info about it here and I'm working to pay for it here too
