PRODUCTION WEEK 2 SUPPORT GROUP
Yep, I saw it at the LA Auto Show in November, right before I placed my order. Saw it, sat in it, opened and closed doors repeatedly, stuffed myself in the boot to see if I could fit... Even though it was really crowded at the show, I feel like I got a good sense of what to expect from the car.
As discussed in other threads, pictures make it look a lot bigger than it really is. I think it's perfect. Most all the reviews are pretty clear that you can't tell the difference between driving the Clubman and driving the hatch, and I loved driving the hatch, so I feel pretty confident about my choice.

You'll probably be driving around Las Cruces before mine ever leaves Southampton!:impatient
Well I finally got some info on my MCs that I ordered on 12/8. Only yesterday did I find out that I was schedueled for production and was told by AskMini just now that it was started on 1/3 and should take about a week. I've been following many threads and that much I new. I'm week two I was told as the week of completion is your so called "week". Anyway now that things are moving along I guess it wont be long now.
"Greetings Fellow Motorers...!"
Hi Folks,
Per latest automated advice, my MINI's in the body shop and due to be completed this Friday - 1/11. So, I guess I am Prod Wk 2. I'll hope for space on the Faust leaving Southampton 1/15. Has anyone checked their VINs to see if they are listed on the Faust's manifest?
Need to get my VIN!

Russr, I like your use of the word "will."
Our MINIs will be cruising the Atlantic together. ColinMc, you too, I think -- unless there is an earlier ship. Cruising pals, all. February promises to be the Motoring Month!
It looks like my MINI will be joining TK76911S and Russr's on the ride over! Let's hope for calm seas and no bumps or bruises to slow delivery down.
Just a bit longer folks.
Check out Google Earth: Southampton, UK and look at the point where the two rivers meet.

Sorry SuperModSquad, didn't mean to leave you out. And it's your post to start with! Is DenRog with us?
Re: Google Earth, try the following link. It uses Google Earth. If you switch to satellite view and zoom in on the docks, you will see MINIs queued there. http://www.ais-live.co.uk/AIS%20Live...uthampton.html
I reordered. When I first ordered and was watching for delivery, there was a motorer on a thread who identified her car on the docks. The site is refreshed every 20 mins or so - nearly real-time. She could see on the dock a solid-colored mini w/ no sunroof that appeared to be the only such one. Kinda cool. But mine is black w/ a sunroof. So it will be one of dozens.

The aislive site is cool, but the only thing that is real time is the position of the ships. So we can track our ships in real time within a certain distance of the Southampton port. The aerials (images of the area) unfortunately are the standard static aerials from google maps and are not satellite imagery. Those aerials are a few years old, btw.
So my vehicle finished assembly last night and will probably head to the port in the next couple of days. I will then see what ship it is scheduled to load on...it's possible it might be a K-Line vessel, but not sure if they use that for NYC destinations.
My MA even called me today to let me know that my MINI was done and awaiting transport! I already knew since i've been checking online and calling every day, but it was nice to know he remembered me lol.
What interior did you guys get? I got a completely stock interior decoratively. As far as interior features, i got the leather mfsw, auto a/c and auto headlights/rain sensing wipers.

Our butts will be planted in Black Lounge Leather seats. As we gaze past the leather steering wheel at the English Oak Dash our thoughts will send our eyes upward to the Anthracite Headliner. The stock gray color line and chrome trim will remind us to stop thinking about the interior and try out the Limited Slip.
ColinMc, I bet that brushed alloy will be cool. Our dealer didn't have any brushed alloy or english oak to see in person. Did you get to view it before you ordered?

Basic ...
Russr knows this already, but I am on the spartan side w/ piano black, lthr MSFW and AH the only options inside (other than the cold whimp package & HiFi). Carbon black and leatherette were my basic choices among std features.

Did any of you who did not get a color line, consider getting one of them? Because my car is MY, I think the only color lines available were MY, Cream and stock. I wasn't sure how the cream would look on a MY car, thought the MY one would be too much to live with, so I ended up with stock.
Since we ordered a PW/B the obvious color line was Cream...which is why we went with the stock Gray. Plus, the Cream looked like it would get dingy pretty quick. It does look good in person.
Looks like FREEDOM won't be here until January 26th. Then we get to wait to be trucked out to Oklahoma.
